i wrote
this poem in september 2011 for an english unit we were working on
of poetry. It is called 'Never Ready'.
It is an original poem!
Never
Ready
we're never ready to say goodbye,
to the man we always face.
but when we lose him we refuse to accept,
that he has gone to a better place.
we never want to let him go,
the one whom we hold dear.
although, if it were up to us,
we'd always keep him near.
we never think he'll leave,
because he's full of love.
that's why God guided him to us,
that angel sent from above.
when we have him every day,
we dont notice we take him for granted.
but then we stop and realise,
he is the special seed God planted.
yet, if only we could see you in
heaven,
and know your pleased there.
we would never attempt to call you back,
or try to move you elsewhere.
we'll put our trust in God's
great hands,
and know some day once more.
we'll hold you in our hearts again,
when we enter heaven's shore.
