RIP to everyone who died this day 11 years ago.
That included a man, his wife, and their baby. The man went to the same high school I do. He walked the same halls that I walk now. When he boarded that plane on September 11th, 2001 with his wife and baby, they didn't know what was about to happen. He was on the phone with his dad, telling him how they were hijacked and would probably die soon, when the plane flew into the south tower. Today at school, the man's dad told the story about what happened that day and how he was on the phone with his son. His son calmly explained what happened and that the plane was hijacked. He was told that people were crying and throwing up and he thought some people were stabbed. He told his dad: "I think we are going down. I think they intend to go to Chicago or someplace and fly into a building. Don't worry, Dad. If it happens, it'll be very fast....Oh my God... oh my God, oh my God". The call ended as they crashed into the tower. This phone call can be heard on many 9/11 shows and reenactments. The baby was the youngest person to die that day. September 11th impacted my little town so much and we will never forget Peter, Sue, and Christine Hanson who were three of the many who died that day. I know I will never forget their story and how a perfectly normal day can change in an instant.
Never Forget
