    FUN PARTY TRICK:
Take a dollar and soak it in 70% rubbing alcohol. Then take a match/lighter and light the dollar bill on fire (make sure you're holding the dollar with tongs or something). The dollar will stop the fire in a few seconds and nothing will happen to it. It'll be dry.
Not a joke. I did it in my science class and it works.

    That man sitting
    on the corner of
    the steet, begging
    for change—he
    was once a young
    boy, playing pretend,
    dreaming of his
    future and its possibilities.
    That girl, with the noose
    around her neck, hanging
    so quietly—she was once
    a young girl, getting lost
in a world full of magic,
    in love with life.
    That teenage boy, drinking
    his father's stash of whiskey,
    in desperate need to numb
    the pain deep within his chest;
    there was time when
    he promised himself
    he would never let it
    come to this.
    Now look in the mirror,
    is this what you pictured
    for yourself when you
    were naïve and
    in love with life?

I think that everyone has to have something to get lost into. Some people go to drugs and alcohol. Some smoke. Some people get lost into music. Some turn to cutting. Some fell into the thought of love. Some just think about life. Some just create little stories or go into their own little world. Some create scenarios. Some twist their memories into better ones. Some live in a world of happiness; their own little world. Some see the world as it is. Some draw their feelings. Some write. Whatever it is, you still have to get lost.

    Twenty-one.
    She’s so young.
    Twenty.
She doesn't deserve to go like this.
    Nineteen.
The doctors visible through the window look panicked, stricken; they know as well as I that my daughter is dying, that in a few minutes she could be… she could be-
    Eighteen.
She should never have gone out; I should never have let her leave the house, not with that boy - that child.
    Seventeen.
If only he hadn't been drinking, maybe she’d be at home right now, not hooked up to a machine to do the breathing for her. Sixteen.
If only she had offered to drive instead, maybe-
    Fifteen.
Oh, my poor little baby; was she scared in the seconds before they hit the truck?
    Fourteen.
I stare through the glass, my hand frozen on it in a silent plea, and I pray for my little baby girl.
    Thirteen.
I pray as the scrubs swarm around her in a crowd so thick that I can’t even see her fragile form.
    Twelve.
All of a sudden, I'm not here anymore; I'm home from work and she’s running up the drive into my arms again, her high pitched squeals echoing in my ears.
    Eleven.
She’s crying into my shoulder as she tells me about the fight she had with her friends.
    Ten.
She’s crawling into my lap and asking where Mummy went.
    Nine.
One of the doctors suddenly pushes a defibrillator against her chest and I flinch without taking my eyes off her as her body jolts off the bed from the charge.
    Eight.
Come back to me, baby, come back to me, don’t leave me-
    Seven.
They do it again, but the heart monitor flat-lines.
    Six.
Again – my breath catches in my throat as her limp body shudders from the electric shock, her face expressionless-
    Five.
Come back to me, baby, come back, please don’t go!
    Four.
Why is it still flat, why the hell isn't her heart beating?!
    Three.
Come back to me, baby, don’t leave me!
    Two.
He looks up at me, examining me as her father, taking in my frozen frame through the glass, and shakes his head, mouthing words that chill me to my very core:
    One.
    “She’s gone.”
    Zero.
    Please be careful with alcohol.

    Aided by an Angel
    Chapter Eighteen ; PART II
    Amber's POV:
"Miracle. She said she loves you." I bent down to kiss his forehead and his eyes fluttered shut. "Now get some sleep, okay? You need it." I stroked his blonde hair, trying to get him to go to sleep. With only one free hand, I answered Liam back.
'I'm okay. We're okay, too. Thank u for everything tonight. - Amber x' A gentle, but loud snore erupted deep within Niall's chest and I knew he had passed out. I pulled the covers over top of us and settled down. The television was on, but I was watching nothing in particular; the news might be on? Or maybe one of those Dateline murder mysteries? I don't know, my eyes were glued to my phone.
'It's fine. I'm always here for u. How's Niall? - Liam xx' Another loud roar sounded and all I could do was giggle and snap a picture for him. I let Liam know he was out like a light. 'Haha, that's good he's home. But are u sure u r fine? - Liam xx' My bruises started to ache, almost on command, but I decided to lie. It was the best thing to do.
I talked to Liam for most of the night since neither one of us could sleep. Lately, we've been rebuilding that friendship we had before we were together and I was thankful of that. I missed having him as my close friend. And now it was great; he was over almost everyday to see Miracle, Aaron, Niall, and me so he was never too far away from any of us. He lived alone and wasn't married and his only child lived here so it was only natural for him to be here. I loved having him around.
'Well now that it's 3am, I should probably let u get to bed. Night Love - Liam xx' It was tree o'clock? Gosh, I had lost track of time. I let out a yawn a suddenly realized how tried I actually was. I said good night to him and then settled down next to Niall who was happily sleeping beside me. I thought about a lot of things since I was finally trying to go to sleep. All of my children were heavy on my mind, along with my family, Liam, and Niall. And, just like every night, I stared at my sleeping bear of a husband and thought about how different I thought my life would be back when I was sixteen.
    ***FAVE/COMMENT/FOLLOW/FEEDBACK***
Thanks for reading, Loves! So this was kind of an informing chapter because I know the one in Liam's POV left yous wondering. Plus now you know a little more about what happened in One in a Million when Niall went missing! So sorry for the boring chapter! It'll get better! I promise! Oh and speaking of the first one, I have to tell yous why I called this one Aided by an Angel. So my first thought and reasoning behind it is because throughout the first story, Lilli had a lot of nicknames and one that was used a lot was 'Angel'. So this one is Aided by an Angel because Lilli was the Angel and now really is an angel! Ba da tis! Oh, and thank all of you who were here for me when I ranted this weekend<3 Since then, I have listened to his 911 call and I guess I'm handling it the best I can. Thank you for all your concern and wonderful words! Who knew Witty people who I barely know could be more helpful than my friends I've known since I was a kid? Love all of you so much, <3 xx

So I'm a year younger than everyone from my graduating class. I don't smoke, I never used to drink, until like last summer and when I do now it's like 3 Mike's Hards and I'm done, but anyway, they've been drinking since middle school. This year the all turned 21, and almost all of the ones I'm friends with one social media networks were like "WOOHOOO I CAN FINALLY DRINK."
I DON'T GET IT! THEY'VE BEEN DRINKING FOR AT LEAST 7 YEARS, WHY IS IT ANYMORE THRILLING NOW THAT IT'S LEGAL?! They bought it illegally and drank it illegally up until now, so why is it different?

I wonder who you are now
because I know that the person ignoring my liquor spit filled voicemails
is not the same person who used to drape me over their shoulder and carry me home when the alcohol hit my knees and made me too dizzy to slur anything but “I love you”
you used to say it back. ”
    — I’ve spent $982 on cab fare since you left
