I expect you all to know what Syria is or what is going on but like a youtube star who got his 15 minutes and was thrown into a pile of been there, done that, the media has totally ingnored Syria and the world has no idea whats going on
Everyday the fighting nears the capital; surrouding cities like Douma - where my mom grew up, Aleppo, the biggest city in the country, Homs, Hama - they are gone
Protesters, civilians, FSA (Free Syrian Army - an opposition force made of of defected Syrian Army soldiers who refused to torture and fire at protesters and volunteers of all ages and genders) fighters, even people who were inside their houses minding their own busniess like my pregnant cousin and her husband (who's house was raided by government forces just for fun, they took all their money and kipnapped them, we haven't heard from them since) or like my cousin who got his arms blown off, my cousins and uncle were imprisoned, - have been killed, kidnapped, and tourtured in ways you couldn't even imagine
Syria's situation was labeled a civil war only a year ago, the Assad regime has ruled for over 40 years and countinues to kill, torture, massacre its people if it means they'll have to give up their power
