Soo me and my bf are going to seprate schools this year. Last year we saw each other in the hallways and had a class together and ate lunch together and he walked me to my classes and all that good stuff... this year he's going to a different school and he has a job and we live kind of far away from each other... and i love this kid with all my heart but im terrified of growing apart :( so does anyone have any advice on long distance relationships? thank you <3

Long distance relationships can be hard. If you work things out, things should go steady and you should be alright. It may be hard at times, but you have to try and stay positive. You may not be able to touch them over video chat, but when you meet in person it'll just make the moment better.

here's my story ..
when I was a little kid , my family and I moved to the United States..
I spent my childhood years in the Philippines until I was 7 . Last they (my parents) decided to send me over there to go continue my studies for a year .
I absolutely hated it. Yeah I missed my family there but I also didn't want to lose my friends here . So there I went.
Then after 2 months , I decided to take a vacation with my cousins at this old place we use to go . Everyone there was just so welcoming & remembered me. I couldn't remember most of my childhood though because something caused me to have a trauma back then & it blocks off my memories.
I can remember some but thats about it. Then , suddenly I saw a guy. & Oh gosh he was just so perfect ? Like as if it was love at first sight.
We hanged out for a couple of days but never really talked . He was closer with my other cousins. I never really told him I liked him or anything . So, then we left.
5 months later .. I saw him again. Yet I still didnt talk to him because I was so shy ! He would keep starring at me tho but I noticed he has some sort of connection with some other girl & after that I just gave up assuming they had a thing .
After a year of being there , here I am now. Back in the United States I was loving it .
Until some random guy liked my picture ? He kept liking them & I realized it was that guy I had a crush on! I was so ... I can't even begin to explain the feeling ..
Then, he messaged me . We talked for 30 minutes and suddenly he told me " I remember when we were kids .. gosh you used to be the happiest girl around here "
& Im like what the heck is going on ?!
what did he mean " when we were kids " ?!
I found out , he was my old friend . He was my very first crush. I couldnt remember him as best as I could I just couldn't.
The trauma that happened back then made me forget alot of things about my past.
He was so disappointed. Then , little by little he started telling me stories about the things we used to do & all my childhood memories.. It was so amazing how he can remember how my hair was , what shirt I wore , & just everything ? He remembered every single detail .
I asked him , " Why didnt you talk to me when I was there? You barely said anything to me?"
He responded, " Do you remember when you left this place when you were little ? That night , you told me that you had a crush on me and I didn't say anything. I liked you too but I just couldn't tell you I liked you back. & The next morning I woke up .. My mom told me you left a shirt for me . She told me you were leaving .. but no one ever told me you would be gone for 9 years. I was heart broken .. you were my first crush .. I was so angry at you for not telling me ... I kept that shirt you gave me you know ? I've held on to it hoping someday my one true love will come back . You know I've only had one girlfriend since you were gone . Just ONE hoping that you will come back someday.. "

I REGRET NOT TALKING TO HIM WHEN I HAD THE CHANCE...

I found all the letters i've wrote to you over the past two years. The distance was terrible, but knowing that you'll never get to read my heart poured out is the worst part.
