To all those people who know what it is like to have lost a family member.
I love my sister Billy even though she is not here anymore.
She's in a better place.
When I was 14 and she was 15 she developed a lung cancer.
She lost that battle weeks before her 16th birthday.
That's when I wrote the poem, which I read at her funeral.
I told the truth that none of us wanted.
Love you Billy XXX
One day we found
The tumor now bound
The horrid cancer biting at her lungs
Never again to be safe and sound
That’s when we said: Billy you need a hero
She started to fade
The suggestions were made
She accepted the treatment
Which started more pain
That’s when we said: Billy don’t be a hero
My sister was gone
From this world she was torn
A light now shining from heaven
My sister in this world no more
That’s when I said: Billy you’re a hero
