Today i took a
walk and agreed to live my life to being drug and alcohol free . Today i was apart of something that i wanna do again and again as much as i can because i mean every word of it . I don't need drugs and alcohol to have fun in life to have a good time with friends . I may have hard situations that come across to me in my life but i can get through them without drugs and i have gotten... through them without drugs . I believe to this that i can make a difference , i don't care if there are teenager's that do drugs as long as i know , my community and school and family and friends know that I don't its all good . I think and know that living my life without drugs and alcohol will make my grandpas and aunt looking down on me proud. We are the majority .
I agree to be drug free . I've seen what drugs and alcohol can do to you and how it could mess up your life and everything you have going for you. I almost lost my brother due to alchol posion last year it killed me that i could've lost him because i wouldn't know what to do without him in my life. It killed me seeing him laying there in that hospital bed i wanted to brake down and fall to pieces crying. I'm glad he made me a promise that he would stop drinking but i really don't know if he kept up with it becuase he moved away to Iowa and I can't be there to watch him , I may be his little sister but if i lost him i would cry more than anything. It scares me because of the fact he has an alster or however you speel it in his stomcha and in his throat so that means he could die at any point if he ever drinks . I've seen what drugs can do and how it can mess up your life because my aunt is addicted to taking pills, she will take my grandmas medication on a daily bases and just get zoned out on them. It hurts because i used to be close with her and i used to look up to her as an role model, she has 4 kids and i wish that because of her actions she choose to make that my cousins don't go down that route because i wouldn't know what i'd do. The day belongs to our youth, who will talk about why and how they stay drug-free. These teens are going to take us into their world and explain to us what it feels like to encounter the everyday pressures of being offered drugs, and how they have fought to remain clean and positive.One of the most common misconceptions among youth is that everyone drinks alcohol or uses drugs to have a good time. However, local survey data shows that the vast majority of kids do not use alcohol or drugs.
On May 2, 2013, hundreds of Lorain County teens from 10 high schools will rally together to promote their positive, drug-free message, “We are the Majority.”
I am the majority and i choose to live my life drug free.
