Drabble #1 - Fill me with hot air, I'll
float to space.
Park benches were not made to be sat on alone. Or at least not
in the dead of winter when you have no one to share body heat
with, shuffling without rest and biting back the tremble that
sticks to your bones. Your butt will be damp with melted snow
and you won’t notice until you stand up. There’s a
pet store nearby that is definitely promising as far as comfort
goes but this is much more familiar. You will be lonely, but
like the sun in your eyes and waistbands that cut, you will get
used to it, eventually.
