For all intents and
purposes, I'm just a
girl.
Spare me the whole
spiel
of "No,
you're so much more than that!"
I get it, I
know that.
I'm not putting myself down in any way, but it's true.
I'm just a
girl.
To someone
that
has
never spoken to
me before,
Someone that
doesn't know me,
But simply sees me on a sidewalk,
To
them?
I'm just a girl.
Just a girl
with black
hair and too much
eyeliner,
Just another
girl that
wants to be
beautiful.
It's
funny
though,
We put so much
effort into
ourselves,
Not just into
our
physical appearances,
But also
into our
stories.
See, everyone
has a
story.
And people put so
much
effort
into making
memories,
Into making their lives beautiful,
But it's
funny,
Because there are thousands,
No, millions,
No. Billions, of
people that will never know you.
Now, I'm not
saying you
shouldn't put
effort into your
life,
But
just think
about it.
For example,
I'm
just a girl
to
millions and
millions of
people,
But to those five
or so people that
really
know me?
I'm loud and outspoken,
I try a little too hard at, oh,
everything,
I'm stubborn and sarcastic,
I'm narcissistic and rude,
Yes,
that's
all true, but
like I
said, I'm not
here
to put
myself down.
So, on top
of that,
to
those people
I'm funny,
I'm painfully
empathetic,
I'm their "fearless leader,"
I'm strong,
And I'm a
hopeless romantic,
But so many people will never, ever, know
that.
Billions and
billions of people will
never
know my
name.
But in all
honesty,
It's those
few people
that
count.
So yes,
I'm just a girl,
But never, ever, think for even a second,
That I'm
nothing more than that.
