As I stand in the street
The rain pours down,
Almost as unforgiving
As your mundane soul.
I stand in the street,
And watch as your
Car pulls out of my driveway.

As the rain embraces
My bare shoulders,
Like tiny kisses,
To try to ward off some
Of this meloncholy
That you have left,
In my empty heart.
