Keeping
Secrets
Chapter
8:
Logan's eyes met mine. He looked hurt.
"I'm sorry, I just.. I need to get to know you better!
We just met!"
He nodded his head and I couldn't help but to notice tears
in his eyes. But he quickly cleared his throat,
"Do you want to go out sometime?"
I nodded and we went from there.

*3 weeks later*
I waved to Hunter as I slid into Logan's jeep. I looked at
Logan and flashed a smile before giving him a quick kiss on the
cheek. I looked back at Hunter to see a face I'd never seen
before. He saw me looking and quickly smiled back, but before
he looked.. almost angry! I looked back over at Logan and his
blue eyes glimmered with what seemed like pride. He slammed
hard on the gas pedal and we sped off, but allI could see was
Hunter's face.
Logan drove us around for a while, just wasting time, but we
finally made it to his house. He got out of the car and walked
toward the front door. I thought of how Hunter always opened my
door, just long enough to realize I was still in the car. I got
out and heard it lock behind me. I found my way own way it, and
made my way to Logan's room where we usually hung out to do
our homework. I walked through the door and he was sitting on
his bed. I crawled onto the bed and straddled him.
"How was your day?"
He kissed down my jawline while responding,
"It.. was.. good.."
I smiled as he made his way to my lips. I pulled away and
whispered,
"We should be doing homework!"
He fell back onto the bed and sighed.
"Okay!"
I took a deep breath and found my backpack. We finished our
work, and then Logan drove me home. I got out of the car and
walked inside, thinking again of how Hunter would have walked
me in. I saw my dad at his desk and he looked at me, but
quickly re-focused on his computer. I frowned and felt the
tears welling up. I ran into my room, finding the over-used
piece of metal. I scraped it across my side and sat and cried
as the pain bled away. I reached for my phone and saw a message
from Hunter. My tears receeded as I read the message,
"Good Evening, beautiful. Wanna go out
tomorrow?"
I felt a smile on my face,
"That would be nice :) where are we going?"
I waited a moment before he messaged back,
"Well, I was thinking a museum! ;)"
My smile grew,
"No way!?"
"Way!"
I laughed and texted back,
"What time?"
"I'll pick you up 2:30..ish"
"Kk, see you then!"
The next message came through quickly,
"I'll see you too! ;) Gotta go, but sweet dreams,
gorgeous!"
I couldn't help but to smile,
"Goodnight :)"
I fell asleep smiling instead of crying, but only because of
Hunter.
