Don't fall.
Chapter 14
We all left the car and went to the place where all the
cheerleaders were meeting up.
"So what's going on?" I whispered.
A girl named Jen looked at me, "The football team pranked
the girls locker room. The new kids have to do it every year but
this year was the last year. We're getting back at
them." She gave me a deathly smile.
"Alex, Jordan, and Anna. You guys are gonna toss Alex up to
the top of the balcony. Up there is a vent that leads to where
the guys are going to be playing on the bumper carts. Alex throw
a stink bomb down there." She smiled at me and went to give
other girls directions.
"You guys. I don't know how I feel about this." I
said with a nervous stomach.
"Is this about Trevor?" Anna asked.
"No. I don't wanna get in trouble." I said.
She smiled, "We do this stuff all the time."
Her and Jordan put me in there hands, "Grab onto that pole
and pull yourself up if you need it." Anna said.
I smiled, "Okay." I said.
They tossed me up and I tried catching the pole, but things went
wrong.
I missed and I struggled to keep my balance.
"ALEXXXX." Anna screamed as she tried catching me.
But it was too late, I was already in the bushes. I felt a sharp
pain in my back and I let everything go.
"Call 9-1-1."
"Get the coaches."
Was all I heard until everything went black.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I woke up what felt like days later to the same scene.
Except there was blinking lights and I was on a stretcher.
Trevor was face to face with me, "Babe. Are you okay?"
He said.
I closed my eyes and opened them again, "What
happened?" I asked.
The paramedic spoke, "You're gonna be fine. You have a
small concussion and you sprained your neck. Other than a few
bumps and bruisings you should be fine." She smiled at
me.
"Is she okay to leave?" The coach asked.
"She can't cheer for a week or two. She's gonna need
to see a doctor before she's okay to go back. But it was a
minor injury. It could of been worse. She should go home and get
some rest though."
"Okay. You heard her Alex." Coach Liz said. "Call
me tomorrow after your doctors appointment and we'll talk
about what is going to happen." Coach Liz turned to the rest
of the cheer team, "As for your girls. Be prepared to run
tomorrow and everyday until Alex is okay. You guys can all go
home now." She said and turned away.
There was groans and dirty looks but eventually everyone
dispersed.
"Let's take you home." Trevor said grabbing my
hand.
We walked to the car which wasn't parked too far. Trevor
kissed me and opened the door.
"Can you spend the night tonight?" I asked him.
He smiled and kissed me again, "Anything for you." He
said with his lips on mine.
I smiled, "Let's go home."
He pulled away from me and drove off. He was pretty silent the
whole way home.
He parked in my drive way and opened the door for me. He grabbed
my waist and kissed me. "Let's wait till we're in my
room." I whispered to him.
He nodded and kissed me one more time.
We got into my bed and he we just made out calmly.
We laughed, talked, and kissed.
He smiled at me, "I really like you." He said
quietly.
I smiled, "I really like to you."
"If you like me. Why are you starving yourself then."
He said in a sad tone.
I looked at him, "Maybe you should
leave."
