"When we
shot Awakenings, there's a scene where
Robert De Niro is frozen in a catatonic state, and a cockroach is
supposed to cross the desk. But Bob doesn't like cockroaches
very much, and he kept jumping up. So we had to do it a few
times. Robin was offscreen all this time pretending to be the
voice of the cockroach. He'd yell out things like 'I was
up for a part in the Reaid commercial!' which would make
Bobby laugh, and then we'd have to wait until Bobby's
face was less red from laughing, because he's supposed to be
sick."
