 Sage’s Nightmare

“WAKE UP!! WAKE UP ALREADY SAGE!” yelled my mom.

“I’m up!” I replied. Today’s my birthday. I’m turning 13. I know it’s a big deal, but it’s just another ordinary day to survive and sleep. It’s summer time so I’m really psyched for whatever my parents are going to get me.

“Sage, you and your father will go on a mini camping trip. I know this isn’t what you expected, but your dad will buy you something when you arrive. You will LOVE it!” my mom said.

“Okay” I’m not much of a morning person. Heck, I’m a night owl. I know I shouldn’t have stayed up that late, but I couldn’t help it!  Anyway, I went upstairs to pack for the mini trip.

Let’s see, three tops, three skinny jeans, two sweaters, and two pairs of shoes. I packed it all into a black suitcase with little skulls and bows. I picked up my suitcase and placed it in my dad’s trunk.

I hope my dad will get me a bunny or a dog. I’ve always wanted a pet. Anyway, I grabbed my purple iPod and jumped into the black minivan.
“Ready?” my dad asked.

“Ready as I’ll ever be,” I stated in a fake excited tone. Apparently he thought I was being honest so he started smiling to himself as he started the car. We started driving straight then took a few turns.
“Dad, where are we going?” I asked curiously.
“You’ll see soon.” He replied mysteriously.

I need your critism, comments, and advice. I promise, it'll be better once i get more information in there. Hope you enjoyed it :)

More detail o: one thing i've learned as a writer is there is no such thing as too much detail, it helps people invision it. cx But the story is good.
