okay, i need you guy's honest opinion.

if a girl in the 8th grade really likes this guy, who just so happens to be in the 11th grade, but hes not a bad kid, (doesn't smoke, drink, etc) and treats the girl really well, do you think they should be able to date without it being a big deal?

Be careful. You have to remember, older guys can get what they want, I should know. Yes, I was in the 8th grade, dating a guy overaged guy that was in the 11th grade, that was a stupid drunk who loved weed. I think I might just have the different experience though.

haha i think so too, but hes never drank, never smoked, or done anything bad without a reasonable explanation. (like hes been in fights before but it was all either self defense or people being "bullies" or whatever ahah) and he would never pressure me into anything i dont want to do, and i know even if he did that im smart enough to walk away c: thanks for the feedback c: xx

Well, if it makes you happy, you should do it. On the other hand: the guy is almost a grown up (well, sorta xD), like lovecrazy said...

There's no problem with it, as long as you know him well. I assume you're the 8th grade girl, so best of luck to the both of you.

He rides my bus & lives right down the street from me, and we would flirt on the bus like all the time and he just told me he liked me yesterday, and says all these really sweet things and makes me really happy. He wanted to hangout with me today, but my parents aren't letting me :c

Aw:( Do your parents know the boy?

Cookiemonster99 · 1 decade ago
no, they dont be hes actually a great kid. his friend's dad is a cop and even says hes a great kid. i feel like my parents just arent giving him a chance, and not letting me see him just based on the age difference/:

That sucks, I'm so sorry. Would you be willing to lie to your parents though? To see him, I mean?

Cookiemonster99 · 1 decade ago
yes.. my parents are extremely over protective and wouldn't just let me leave the house, but Monday im going to tell my mom that im staying a "late night" which is just when you stay after school to do extra work or to stay caught up with your teachers, but im not staying after & im going to hangout with him after school then, since theres like no other way i can see him..

Aw well that's nice, aside from the fact that you're lying to your parents, but I mean who hasn't done that? Does he know what's happening with your parents?

Yes, he hates being judged but they're not trying to judge him.. I don't know. It's what they think is best but I hate it/:

Just depends if he accepts that she is younger and shouldn't do 11th grade stuff...
thumbs up 0 thumbs down reply

Cookiemonster99 · 1 decade ago
if by "11th grade stuff" you mean having s.ex or anything like that, i would never do something like that or let it get that far, and i dont think he would try to push me into anything i dont want anyways. hes really not like that and even if he is, i wouldnt stay with him if he tried to pressure me or push me into anything. he does accept that im younger and respects me for who i am, the only problem is my parents. my mom is 5 years younger than my dad and i know its totally different when your older and out of school, but 3 years isnt even that big of a gap in my opinion. i respect everyones opinions and thanks to everyone that commented ^-^ c;

My mom went to senior prom with an 12th grader when she was in 8th. I don't see a problem with it. I don't think age measures anything except how long you've been alive and how big of a birthday present you get.

My opinion on this? No, I don't. He's older, more mature, he knows how to make you believe something. The girl on the other hand is still a child, she doesn't really know what's going on. Being friends is one thing, but dating I just don't think that's a good idea right now.

Don't date in middle school your life has barely started. It won't last a while-a month at best. And it'll be awkward when you get to high school
