Chapter 17
LOUIS’ POV
There she goes, kissing Harry again. I wish that was me, but I
would never dream of doing something like that to Harry, would I?
No, of course not… I think.
“Could you not,” I snapped at the two of them.
“What’s gotten into you?” Harry asked me.
“Nothing,” I muttered, storming off into my hotel
room across the hall.
I sat there on the couch for a few minutes before the door
opened. It was Sydney.
“Lou,” she said, sitting down next to me,
“what’s wrong?”
“Nothing,” I said, not as harsh as I did last time
for Syd’s sake.
“Something’s up,” she said. “Come on, you
can tell me.”
“No,” I said, “you’re one of the people I
can’t tell.”
“Come on, Louis,” she begged.
“If I tell you, you can’t get mad at me,” I
said and she nodded.
“I promise,” she said and I sighed.
“I like you,” I blurted out, “a lot.”
Sydney smiled. “Well now the whole freaking out in
Niall’s hotel room thing makes sense.”
I chuckled and she did too. “Please don’t break up
with Harry, though.”
“Harry? Louis, that’s a publicity stunt we came up
with a while ago,” she chuckled. “We figured, with
Niall and Cole’s little relationship probably causing some
trouble, we’d start to ‘date.’ That way, in
magazines and stuff, it’d be ‘Oh did Cole and Niall
set Harry and Sydney up?’ and all that sort of stuff. We
thought it’d get loads of publicity for you guys and Cole,
and with the Grease cover video coming out soon, it was the
perfect time.”
“Wait,” I said, “what do you mean by a while
ago?”
“Harry and my parent’s grew up together,” I
chuckled, “we were like brother and sister before he moved
to England.”
“How come Cole doesn’t know about this?” I
asked, slightly frustrated but overjoyed at the same time.
“She does,” Sydney laughed, “but she
can’t tell anyone.”
“I don’t know whether to be happy or annoyed,”
I chuckled and Sydney laughed.
“Be happy,” she said, “because I like you
too.”
“Y-you do?” I asked and she nodded.
“Yeah,” she said, “I do.”
I smiled and she kissed me on the cheek.
“A week after we release the Grease cover Harry and I are
going to break up,” she said. “You know what to do
after that.”
She got up and walked out of the hotel room, leaving me smiling
to myself. Sydney likes me, her and Harry’s relationship is
fake, and they’re ending it in a week and two days. GO
LOUIS! GO LOUIS!
