I used auger plates and tested if dogs or cats had a cleaner mouth... Haha you get to watch the bacteria grow:p you just need to have like 3 cats and 3 dogs. You could also test to see if people or dogs have cleaner mouths. Or if boys or girls do. Or if Lysol works better than Clorox(:

Get a slightly unreactive alkaline metal like lithium o magnesuim,mix it withhydrochloric acid, for a while, it creates a lilac/red flame on top. Its pretty cool actually just ask you teacher whether that safe first. (:

You could make insoluble salts in pretty colours! Not very interesting, but pretty colours.
Or make foam by adding hydrogen peroxide to... what was it... Your teacher will know.
Do something about showing convection currents by putting food colouring into water while it's on top of a flame?
These aren't very interesting ideas, but if you can explain them you'll look clever. You can't really do the alkaline metals on water because it's not safe.
