it's okay to say this for religious reasons, but honestly. its not really effecting you nor is it any of your business. you don't deserve to make other people's decisions for them.

I completely 100% respect your opinion. BUT I'm hat gonna put something out there. If gay people COULD reproduce, there would be way too many children that would be up for adoption because the gay couple wouldn't adopt them. If that makes any sense. PLUS~just imagine this...(I know you're not) but just imagine that you're gay and completely and utterly in lobe with someone. They are your whole world. Your everything. You want more than ever for your partner to get down on one knee and say those four words. "will you marry me?" but they can't. No matter how much they love eachother, they are not allowed to get married. To promise eachother to forever be together. To wear a beautiful white gown and walk down that isle. Only to see the person you love.

That would be devastating. So, (I'm not hating) I just want totell you to pit yourself in their shoes and maybe try to see it in a different light.

Your argument would make sense if the church and the state were supposed to be combined, but they aren't.
Marriage in the way that you think of it is the Bible terminology, and so if a gay couple were to want to be married in a church, that would be a totally valid argument.
However, that logic should not have anything to do with marriage in a legal sense.
There is no reason a gay couple who wants to be married by a justice of the peace rather than a priest should not be allowed to call themselves legally married.
