"Okay, good. Well, I just wanted to vent.
Well, my life absolutely sucks!! Troy broke up with me and
left me for Tiffany! Then my mom grounded me for talking
back to her? Psh, she deserved it! I seriously want to kill
myself!" Leah complained.
I felt anger build up in my body. Leah had it so easy. She
doesn't have a clue about what I go through everyday. I
haven't even told her about my parents. I wanted to
yell at her.
"Oh. I'm sorry. Y-you deserve better than
him." I tried my best to wave the urge of exploding on
her away.
"Sorry? Is that all you have to say? Wow, I'm
going through a really hard time and you're acting like
it's nothing? What a great friend." Leah hung up
on me.
I squeezed onto my phone in frustration. How could she be
so self centered? My eyes looked at the pills laying in
front of me, my thoughts were interrupted by my mothers
shrill voice.
"Haley! Get down here right now!"
I jumped up, puting on a long coat and wiping my wrists off
while running down the stairs.
"Why didn't you cook dinner?!" My mother
screamed.
"I'm sorry, I didn't think you asked me
too." I replied, scared.
"Do I have to tell you what to do? Fine, come
here." My mother screamed.
I did as I was told, well aware of what was about to
happen. My mother proved me right, backhanding me across
the face. My eyes felt like they were going to pop out of
my head.
"Make dinner." My mother advised.
"Yes ma'-"
"And while you're at it clean the house." My
mother cut me off.
"Rotten, pathetic, good for nothing child." My
mother muttered while walking away.
Leaving my face, and
heart, stinging in
pain.
