It's okay that some people like Twilight better than Harry Potter.

Not everyone can comprehend the Harry Potter books or the movies. Twilight is just the obvious story for those who can't read well, because let's face it, Stephenie Meyer can't write well. So, for someone who has a hard time reading, the obvious choice is Twilight since Stephenie would have wrote it simple enough for even a mere child to understand, just because she isn't a great author.

Harry Potter isn't just an obsession. It's a lifestyle. ;)

Harry Potter is about facing your fears and overcoming challenges. Harry Potter has a better plot, theme and overall story. Twilight is a pathetic story about how a girl is desperate for a 100 year old vampire and how important it is to have a boyfriend.
