I'm sorry that people said such rude things, I commented on the quote too, and I was one of the people disagreeing with you, not so rudely as the other people though. But I think that this is such an important and meaningful opinion, you WILL get people who are highly offended and they WILL say stuff like that. I'm not saying it's right, but it will happen. It's your opinion and you are completely entitled to it, but it is on a very contraversal subject which can be a bit risky and you just have to be prepared for what you're going to get.

the girl that said 'you just ruined my day and possibly my religion' doesn't seem like this person tried to be mean or anything. She (i assume it's a girl) uttered how hurt she was, because I read your post and you seemed to put being gay with 'murders and aldulters and other things that are geniue 'evil' and 'morrally wrong' how do you think she was going to react while being gay herself? 'Oh thank you for saying this, you made my day so much better now knowing that me being gay makes me just as bad as a murder'. No, just no.
The people that did say all the other things stated above, are in the wrong, of course.

Holy hell. What in my flying femur's name is going on with people on witty? REALLY. People are getting upset about other people's opinions? OVER WHAT? I know that gay rights is technically a social and even a political issue right now (not technically, it is...though I can't see why) but really? You were just stating your opinion. I understand if like, say, someone posted their opinion about this subject and it was somewhat aimed or offensive, THEN I understand. But this?

The hell is wrong with witty--no, PEOPLE IN GENERAL nowadays? (Trust me, people are like this in real too. Maybe not to me, but to others) =_=

Um....I'd the person below me say that people are getting upset about nothing? Because hating on somebody because of their sexuality is not nothing. In my opinion it's as bad as or sexism. Now I completely understand that you have a right to an opinion on homosexuality. Even though I don't agree with you, I respect that your opinion is negative. However, you should have expected that reaction. Honestly, I agree that making that quote was like asking for hate. I wouldn't normally say this, but I think you probably should have kept your opinion to yourself this time, just because it's such a tender issue and hurts so many people.

By responding to hate, it only furthers more hate to be brought on to you. You need to look further and stop feeding into them, this is what they wanted and you gave it to them. Responding to hate is just as bad as giving hate to someone.

witty has changed because of the people in it, they haven't experienced the "old witty" and some people think the old witty is a bunch of bull, but no, thats the witty when people where respected, i personally disagree with your statement, but hey, no one is exactly alike, i don't believe in god, so people are going to hate on me? well they will because of what witty has become, people have lost respect for others, and honestly if someone said that you should go kill yourself, they are pathetic little a.ssho|es, honestly...don't let that get to you because, it's what you believe in and no one can affect that.

Honestly, Witty is becoming a terrible website. I don't even want to call myself a Wiitian anymore, it's pathetic. I read that quote, and I agreed with your thoughts. People on here are becoming way too dramatic and getting upset about nothing. You stated your opinion an they stated theirs. Telling someone to kill themselves and that their opinions don't matter has taken it too far. You could've said it in a mean way, but you didn't. Some of these people are just making Witty a place that no one wants to be on. I respect you for giving your opinion. Everyone should be able to say what they feel without being told disrespectful and inn appropriate things.

He hasnt said anything but his opion which he has a right too he didnt say "gays suck" he said his opion and you might take it the wrong way but if thats what he believes let him believe it. So maybe everyone should stop acting like they hate this cause none of you are perfect im sure people have disagreed with your opion before but they kept there mouth shut.

Dont you think it's a little hypocritical that they're saying don't be homophobic (I know you aren't don't worry- that isn't my point) when they're being offensive and saying all that stuff about christianity? It makes me sick to think someone would say things like that. Its just wrong. You have a right to freedom of speech so feel free to express your opinions. No one deserves hate, especially on a site like this. People on here aren't meant to judge, I mean they don't know your life story. If you wanna talk I'm here and I'm a Christian too (:

The thing is you're stating your opinion the same way that we are. If you're against it & you can voice your opinion, & I'm not against it, I can voice mine. Neither one should get hate. I commented on your quote telling you how I felt about Gays/les/bi/trans & just going on about my opinion. It wasn't directed towards you it was in general. Because if you can state yours, I can & will state mine. You don't deserve hate & neither do the people who don't agree with you. NO ONE deserves hate.

I read that quote and thought that nothing was wrong with it. I am a Christian and i completely agree with you! It's really mean for someone to tell you that you're wrong for your religion.
And it's funny how people who are for gays say to "respect their opinion" or something like that, But then they don't respect yours. ... I also see abunch of quotes saying "never ever tell anyone to go kill themselves", But then they go and do this?!?! People these days.

You're entitled to your own opinion, and others are allowed to express theirs as well but it is never okay to tell someone to "go die" because of their opinion. Seriously? People are being bullied for believing in God or Jesus, or because of their religion? That's insane, Witty is falling apart because of bullies. Ignore the haters and keep expressing your opinion, you shouldn't have to hold it all in because of others.

I don't believe in God but I don't think its right for being to bash on someone else's religion. There's nothing wrong with being a Christian, it's just isn't for everyone. You don't seem like an @sshole, don't let them bother you. (:
