One
This day, marked the
beginning of the rest of my life.
It was mid August,
and I was just getting back to school. It was one of those days,
the ones that just drug on, seeming like they'll never end. I
walked through the halls, first day of my Junior year, seeing all
the faces I had always seen. Until I walked by one that caught my
eye. Who was that? Where did he come from? Am I dreaming? Dirty
blonde hair, roughed up, matching perfectly with the deep
cerulean blue eyes, and pale pink lips, along with his perfect
skin and beautiful build. He had to have been an easy 6'1", with
a lean body and arms that I just wanted him to wrap around me.
Wait a second, what was I thinking. I didn't even know his name!
A boy stole my heart and I couldn't even say who. Oh no, this had
to change, now.
I don't know how I
did it, but I did. I turned around, walked towards him, and told
him... "I like your shirt,"... What, I like your shirt?! What the
hell was I thinking ? He probably thought I was a huge creep now.
The entire day I was beating myself up over the encounter. I
missed a huge chance, and ruined a first impression. I was just
done with the day and counting down the seconds until I could get
home. Then finally the eigth period bell rang, it was 2:30 and
time to go. I walked onto my bus, sat down in the last seat, and
was anxious to leave. Then of course, the inevitable happened.
He, that beautiful nameless boy
that was running through my head all day steps on. This couldn't
be happening, my life wasn't a romance movie, these coincidences
don't just happen! And then to top everything off, he sat down
next to me. I felt my heart start to race, and had butterflies in
my stomach. Why would he sit next to me? There had to have been
another seat open, right?... Then he did it, with four simple
words and that stunning voice he stole my
heart.
"I like your
shirt."
