Chapter Twelve:
Evelyn's POV:
Next Day at School:
   "Oh, hey Ryan!" I say smiling as he walks next to me.
"Why didn't you tell me?" he asks, looking me straight in the eye.
"Tell you what?" I ask confused.
"That your the girl that all the guys are going nuts about."
"Because I didn't know they were?"
"O-okay. Whatever." he says smiling.
"Everyone won't shut up. Eveyone knows the story." he says.
"What story?" I ask kinda curious.
"The one about you and Chase."
"Ahh I see, I see." I say sitting down at a lunch table.
Ryan sits down across from me.
I see Chase walk with a group of friends, about to walk past us.
"Oh my gosh Ryan! You are so funny!" I say giggling, trying to attract his attention.
He looks over at us with a look of sadness and anger in his eyes.
Oh yeah.
Ryan smirks at me.
"You still have feelings for him dont you?"
I blush and look down at the table, totally embarrassed.
"Well I can't just "stop" liking him..." I say quietly.
"You want to make him jealous?" he asks.
I don't respond, I just stare at the table.
"I'll do it." he says quietly.
"Do what? I ask while looking at him.
"I'll pretend to be your boyfriend so you can make Chase jealous."
I look at him in total shock.
"Really?! But why? You barley know me!" I tell him.
"Well first: I can get to know you, second: becasue your super nice and I want us to be friends, third: no guy should ever treat a girl like that and finally: it will get me a reputation." he says smiling.
I smile at him and run over to give him a hug.
"Ah! Ryan your the best!" I squeal.
"I know, I know." he says, pulling me onto his lap.
"Soo no hard feelings? All to make him jealous right?" I ask.
"Absolutly. Want to go get this show on the rode?"
I nod my head yes.
"Just follow my lead."
We both stand up, hand and hand, and walk outside to the courtyard, where Chase and his friends are. We walk out and sit under the shande of a tree, in hearing distance of Chase and his friends.
I giggle along the way, while he smiles.
"Soo...Evelyn. Will you be my girlfriend?" he asks a little too loud so Chase could hear.
"Absolutly!" I yell and nock him over in a hug.
We both start laughing and I hear Chase and his friends fall silent.
He hands me a piece of paper as the bell rings.
"I have to go to class. Call me." he says winking at me.
Then, he leans down to peck me on the lips.
We both smile at each other before he walks away.
After he is out of sight I stand up to leave when I see Chase walking over to me, an angry expression on his face.
