TRUE STORY
 

Yesterday, we were discussing sexual abuse and harassment at school, and one of my teachers told this story. Sadly, it is 100% true (not one of those repost things)
 

About 20 years ago,  my teacher taught 8th grade.

Everyday, this one girl would come in with a smile on her face. She was always well-groomed, hair nice and neat, uniform pressed, etc.

She was a sweetheart, always the one to stick up for the underdogs.

As the year went on, my teacher noticed that she would come in with her shirt wrinkled and stained, and her hair would be all over the place, and she always kind of seemed to be somewhere else.

My teacher asked her if everything was ok at home. The girl told her she wanted to tell her thr truth, but she wasnt allowed to.

The summer passed, and at the beginning of the next year, my teacher, the girl, her grandmother, and the school prinicpal all sat down to dicuss it.

The grandmother asked the girl "Can I tell them?" and the girl replied "Tell them everything."

 

When she had been coming in looking put together, she had been living with her grandma. On the days where she looked dirty, she was living with her mom.

Her mother had been prostituting this 14 year old girl to pay for her drugs.

Every night, the mother would open their house and men would come and sleep with this little girl. The mother would take the money and use it to satisfy her drug addiction. She had a business running.

About a month before the meeting, the girl learned that she was pregnant (shehad no idea which man it was from). The day after the meeting, she learned that she had miscarried the baby.

The police then got involved, but sadly the girl (who would be in her 30s) is no longer living.

She had contracted multiple STDs from the various men and died a few years ago.

I am not asking you to fave this, just please do what my teacher told us to do: give your mom a hug.

Be grateful that you are blessed enough to have a mother who loves and cares about you, and would do anything for you.

And for anyone out there who does have a mother like this, know that you deserve so much better, and that we are all always here for you, no matter what.

Now think about what this poor girl suffered through, and go give your mom a hug
