Chapter seven: PART ONE
Evelyn's POV:

   "Evie...can I ask you something?" Chase asks me, suddenly serious.
"Sure." I say confused.
"Will you..uh..go to the formal with me?" he stutters.
I open my eyes in shock.
"Yeah! Absolutly!" I tell him, trying to hold back the little girl-ish screams trying to escape my mouth.
"Awesome." he says smiling.
I smile back.
"Chase! Evelyn! Lunch!" Adeline yells from down stairs.
Chase rolls his eyes and says okay.
"Are you hungry?" he asks me.
All the sudden my stomach growls really loud-I missed breakfast. He smiles at me.
"I'll take that as a yes." he says.
He grabs my hand and leads me down stairs.
"Ooh! Look at Chase and his little girly friend!" Aden says in a little girl voice, teasing us.
I blush while Chase takes a pillow near by and chucks at him. Chase pulls me over to the kitchen and we make sandwhiches. I make roast beef while he makes turkey. Then we go over to the table with everyone else to eat.
"Do you want something to drink?" Chase asks.
"Sure, what do you have? I ask.
"Sierra Mist, Dr. Pepper-"
"Dr. Pepper works." I say smiling.
"Okay. Be right back."
A few seconds later he comes back with our sodas.
"Chase, why don't you get some napkins." Aden suggests.
"Okay." Chse says and walks away yet again.
All the sudden, Aden takes Chases's Dr. Pepper and shakes it up and then sets it back down. Aden looks at me and puts a finger to his lips, signalling me to be quiet. I smile and then become serious as Chase comes back. I start to eat my sandwhich.
"Ugh! I'm so thirsty." Chase says while opening his pop.
Right as he opens it, a fountain of pop sprays right up into his face, drenching his hair and his t-shirt. Everyone bursts out laughing and me and Aden high-five.
"Aden, you suck!" Chase tells him. "Wait, Evie? You knew about this? And didn't tell me?" he asks.
"Maybe..." I say, trying to look innocent.
A devious smile suddenly appears on his lips.
"Evie...I think I need a hug." he says standing up.
"Oh...no. I think you will be just fine." I say also standing up, wide eyed.
"Come here." Chase says playfully, while trying to get me.
"No!" I scream and open the back door to run.
Chase chases after me, then all the sudden Aden catches Chase and throws him over his shoulder.
"I think you need a bath." Aden says and tosses him into their in-ground pool.
Everyone starts laughing again. I walk back and go to the side of the pool.
"Here." I say, extending my hand to help him out.
"Thanks." he says while grabbing my hand.
Then he pulls me into the pool.
"CHASE!" I scream as I plunge into the freezing cold water.
"I...I can't swim!" I scream to him, going underwater.
"Oh my god! Evie!" he screams and goes down after me. He pulls me up to the surface.
"Gotcha!" I say smiling and dunk him underwater.
 I swim to the steps and get out laughing.
"You suck." he says, getting out as well.
"No, I think awesome is the word you were looking for." I say smiling.
"Lets go get dried off." He says smiling as well.
We go inside and get towels when we run into his dad.
"Oh! Dad!" Chase says wide eyed.
"This is Evelyn, Evelyn, this is my dad, Kent."
"Hi, Mr. Marcek." I say embarrassed while I pull my towel tighter over my shoulders.
"Hi." he says.
"Well, I was just gonna get going..." I say awkwardly, taking my towel off and handing it back to Chase.
"No, you don't have to." Chase says.
"No, I better get going." I say. "It was nice meeting you Mr. Marcek."
I go out the front door and Chase follows me.
"I'll text you okay?" Chase say.
"Okay. Bye." I say smiling while I start to walk away.
Then, Chase grabs my wrist and pulls me back to him and hugs me."I really did want a hug." he whispers.
 "Bye." he says smiling while letting go.
"Bye." I say smiling and start walking home in a daze.

 Hi lovlies :) Kinda a cute chaper? I think sooo :) Okay, like I said last time, NEXT chapter will be in CHASE POV (point of view) I'm sorry for the people who didn't really want it but it will make more sense this way :) I hope you like it so far! :) Sorry it's so late! I had a crazy busy weekend! but i stayed up late just to upload for you guys! <3 better late then never right? :)
