Trust.

Prologue:
"Aria. Oh Aria. Where are you childd." My mom's ex boyfriend slurred, obviously drunk.
"Comeee heree. I won't hurt youu."
I grabbed my phone and slid into the bathroom, locking the door.
What did mom get herself into...
"ARIA!"
He didn't sound happy.
My fingers trembled as I began dialing 911.
"911. What's your emergency?"
"I have your mommy." he stuttered.
"Mommyyy. Why don't you talk Aria. Get her to joinn us"
"Aria, I love you," my mom choked.
"Hello? Are you in need of help?"
"Ye-Yes," I managed to cry. "98 West Maple Ave, plea-please hurry."
"Aria! What are you doing Aria" he shreeked.
"Just come out here!"
"Just leave us alone!" I replied.
I heard the sirens.
"Oh, you stupid child! You think the police will help your idiot mother"
"Aria. D-Don't worry." my mom stammered.
I frantically looked around.
A glass vase sat on the top shelf.
"Your mommy can't breath very well." he laughed.
"Stop it. Please!" I heard my mother plead.
I stood on my toes and clutched the vase.
The sirens seemed close.
I ran to the bathroom door and swung it open.
"There you aree," he smiled.
My mom was held tight in his grasp. A knife to her neck.
"Let go of her," I proclaimed more confidently than I felt.
I heard people running up the stairs.
"Ok." he threw her to the floor and jumped at me, his knife cutting up my arm.
I dropped the vase and it shattered on the floor.
"Police! Drop your weapon."
"Alright," he smiled and then dug the blade through my mother's heart.
