My sister cuts
herself.
She thinks she isn't good enough, for anyone. She has no self
respect, & I don't know what to do. Yesterday, I was
going to ask her something but couldn't find her. I walked
into her bathroom & saw her cutting herself. There was blood
EVERYWHERE. I love her so much</3 But I don't want her
doing this to herself. I even tried talking to her & it took
me awhile but I put everything peice by
peice. I should've known. Our mom
recently had a stroke. (thats why I
haven't been on here much) & my Dad is in the process of
divorcing her. Kelsey(my sister)was dating a boy, they'd been
together on about a year & a half, & he went &
cheated on her. Her life is hell. I want to do something but I
don't know what to do. We used to be so close, now we barely
even talk. I'm not asking for favs, I'm
asking for support. Comments, anything. I can't do this
alone. My friends don't care, typical douches. I need help,
she needs help, I'm trying to be a good brother. It's
really hard. I need support. Please?

i understand what shes going threw i am also i feel like all the time just please talk to her because i know thats what i need tell her how much u love her and dont want anything to happen to her .

I'm soooo sorry to hear that. I used to do it to but my best guy friends always used to take me out to do stuff and were always very up beat and happy it eventually got better thanks to there support I know you can get through this just be there for her show her that life can be fun

I also thing you should talk to her; maybe it will help and she will know that someone cares about her and loves her. Spend as much time as you can with her, talk with her & stuff. And maybe you can contact her best friend and ask her or him to help you. Just show her that you care.
+ I think you're an amazing brother; doing all that for her is just...wow. ;))

Try & talk to her more & try & find things she likes to do & do thoes things with her & tell her you will always be here for her when guys are & you will always be here when she needs support & try & take all the knifes away so she cant cut her self & show her how good of a brother you are so she can relize life isnt always about boyfriends & all that & i think its rely nice of you to help out your sis tell her i said evrything is going to be alright & she doesnt need to being doing this she has wayy to good of a life to mess it up by doing this i hoped i help!!

i think you should talk to her.. maybe if you become closer to her and bring her to the mall or something and do stuff with her she'll realize that not everything is bad in her life.. and you could possibly get her professional help?

What I'm about to suggest may be a hard task for you; but I reccomend that you get your sister some professional help. You can do that by calling a hotline, or you could also call a non emergency number. If you truly think your sister needs help and you call to find her help, there's a possibility that they could put her in a mental hospital. I am so sorry. Tell your sister that everything is a mess right now but I promise you it will get better. Cutting herself is not going to solve anything. She is young, once she grows each and every year it will all get better. This is so horrible to deal with but some people do have it worse. Tell her to stay strong and she needs to believe in you and herself. I hope she stays strong.

i'm sorry about that! i recently stopped cutting. i suggest not forcing her to stop because it will only make her want to do it more (i know from experience). maybe you could ask her to, if she's up to it, try the butterfly project. that's where if she wants to cut, she draws a butterfly and if she cuts she kills it and has to start over. i stopped because i saw how this person i really care about reacted. it was my english teacher and when i told him it looked like he was going to faint or something and i felt awful that i did that to someone i'd only known since september. if you want, she can talk to me. i've been through my fair share of crap this year (anorexia, depression, insomnia, cutting) so i might be able to help. if not, i wish you and her the best!
