like heartjelly said...try sweating your off at camp for four days!!!!!! its hell.. or getting put in the field house EVERY practice bc you are the least favorite sport....its all BLOOD, SWEAT, AND TEARS . YES i am a cheerleader...i can throw a ball into a basket no problem...thats easy as !!!!!!!!! how about you try throwing 19 standing back tucks in 1 minute like i can...NOW THAT TAKES TALENT...nitwit >:P

when did anyone say basketball wasnt a sport. never.calm down. the reason cheerleaders have to be was more defensive is cuz we do work hard and everyone immediately assumes were prissy little girls&never give us a chance. we hafta be ultra defensive cuz were the first ones to be put down.. think of that... cheerleaders shouldnt put down other sports especially cuz they know whats its like. but also they just for once want respect..

Whats your problem? We definately don't. If I do, it's because people like you don't think it's a sport when it really is. Cheerleading isn't any better than other sports. You're right, there are some girls that think we're the best. A lot of us do not though so we shouldn't get the reputation that we are stuck up. Thanks :)

Sweety, it's a sterotype. Not all cheerleaders are conceited and stuff. I for one KNOW I'm not. Cheerleading is much more than just lifting people. That's a guarantee.

I'm a cheerleader and i don't think that I'm better than everyone else. Everyone needs to stop thinking that cheerleaders are all stuck up and that we think we're the best. Thanks :)

I used to be a cheerleader. Yes, cheerleading IS a sport, but not as aggressive and fast paced as basketball. You have to work in both sports, basketball being to get a basket, and cheerleading to pep up the crowd, cheer on the players, and actually /lift other people up/. You can get injured in both sports as well. Also, not all cheerleaders think they're high and mighty. I knew I was the same as everyone else, and so, thats why people liked me.
