There for Me
Chapter 5
 

       "ALRIGHT LADIES! HUDDLE UP!" Coach Knight yelled. All of us ran to the team logo and circled around it. "This wasn't the best practice." She looked at me. Her gaze didn't linger for more then 5 seconds and she looked away. I knew I was a bit wrapped up in la la land. But hey! who wouldn't be? Especially when the hottest guy in the school asked them out."
      "We have a game in 2 days. No practice tomorrow so I'll see you on game day. Hands in! On 3!!"
      "1,2,3!! WARRIORS!" Everyone screamed the team chant. I sprinted to the locker room. I didn't even bother changing I just took off my knee pads and threw my stuff in my duffel bag. I was the first one  in and out of the locker room. I ran to the gym doors before anyone else even had time to get to the locker room. "Finally," I thought. "This is what I've been waiting for."
      I unlocked the door to my Cobra Mustang. It was one of a kind. Black with purples skulls from the nose to the tail end on both sides.
      I threw my stuff in the passenger seat and climbed in. Slamming the door in my haste, I stuck the key in the ignition, turned it over, and took off. I hit 40 even before I reached the end of the high school parking lot.
      Surprisingly, I drove the speed limit the rest of the way home. I didn't want a ticket nor did I want to end up wrapped around a tree like a pretzel. I pulled in my driveway, my speakers blaring "Swing" by Savage.
      I jumped out of the car, grabbed my phone and my keys, shut the door, and ran up the sidewalk to my house.
