Falling
Part 55
Dear Diary,
It's been a long time since I've written to you. I've just been
so busy. But I think you should know this.
Today was my wedding day. I felt sick. I tried convincing myself
that I was just nervous, and that I was doing the right thing.
That didn't help. Then the big white doors in the front of the
church opened, and I began to walk down the aisle, slow and
steady. I looked ahead at Nick. He looked incredible. I noticed
his big green eyes from the other side of the church. But then I
got a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach. 'You're just
nervous. You're just nervous', I said again and again in my head.
Before I knew it, I was standing at the altar, in front of Nick,
his eyes locking into mine. All I knew was that I loved Nick, and
that was all I needed to know in order to get
married.
As you would expect, we read our vows. Then, right before I said
'I do', a man burst through the doors of the church. I
didn't know who it was. The church was too dimmly lit to see a
face. The entire croud of guests turned their heads to the front
of the church, and so did I.
"I
refuse to let this beautiful woman marry this man!" yelled
the mystery guy as he stepped into the light. I recognized that
voice. I recognized that face. My heart
leaped.
