"Okay," he said.
I popped open the bottle on our way to the living room. I took a
gulp.
"You might need another!" he said, smiling.
"Probably."
Hours later, the door bell rang.
"I'll get it!!" I yelled. I was all giggley and
bubbley and unexplainably happy.
I opened the door. I was pleasantly surprised by Greg's face.
"Oh! HAHA! Hey cutie patutie!" I said, making a
kissy face.
"Oh my God," he said, "you're
stoned."
"Huh? Oh!! HA! Yeah. Possibly!"
"Uhh, should I take you to the doctors or
something? What if you get alchol posioning?"
"A doctor won't be able to help me unless he
can perform heart surgery," I said seriously.
"What? What's wrong with your heart?"
"It's broken."
