The Truth Behind a
Smile #17 (i've been having number issues so
srry. this is number 17 so count down from there.)
"Get back here, Matt!" I chased
after him but he was already inside. I tried opening the door,
but it was locker. I smalled my fists against it, trying to
tell Matt i was still outside. And i was shivering. Matt stared at
me with a smirk.
"Open tihs door right now!"
"I dont know..."
"Seriously, Matt. This isn't funny. Now let me in."
I was shaking violently and me teeth kept chattering together.
Matt must've noticed this because he finally let me in.
"Calm down, Macy. No need to get all worked up."
"If you had let me in when i asked, I wouldn't be all
worked up. And now thanks to you, I have no dry clothes."
"But i do. THey're gonna be big, but hey, it's better than
nothing right And do you wanna take a shower or something to warm
up?"
"Yes!" Matt led me to his room, grabbed some clothes for
me and showed me where the bathroom was. I turned on the water as
hot as it could go and stepped in. The water felt amazing! I was
pretty mcuh warmed up by the time i was finished. I put Matt's
clothes on. They were a bit big but they stayed on. Quickly, i
inhaled the scent of him. I can't define it right, but sum it
up, Matt smelled insanely good. I hope that doesn't sound too
too weird. But it's true. I put his sweatshirt around my
shoulders and went to find Matt. Thankfullyhe was waiting for me
down the hall so i wouldn't have to search for him.
"Well thanks for tonight. And the clothes."
"Anytime. But do you want me to put your clothes in the dryer?
I can give them back tomorrow."
"Yeah, sure. That would helpful." I didn't say it
would be helpful cause i didn't own a dryer. I usually had to
go to the local Laundromat which wasn't fun since i never had
enough quarters to pay for the dryer. So instead I had to hang up
the clothes outside.
"I'll put them in later."
"I should get going before my dad freaks out." He had
called like 50 times. So i quickly texted him, letting him know i
was coming home.
"Yeah okay bye. See ya tomorrow." I waved good-bye.
"Hey Matt?"
"Yeah?"
"Could you show me where the door is? I really don't wanna get
lost in your house." Matt tried not to laugh, but failed.
"Sure, Macy." He showed me the door and said bye once
more. I started my car and pulled out of the driveway. Tonight had
been the best I've had in
forever.
