Nobody Compares: Chapter 30: Part One
Emily’s P.O.V
I was woken up by soft knocking on the door. I ignored it but it didn’t stop. I was nearly back asleep until Sapphire and Skye started moaning for me to see what it was. It was still dark outside so on my way to the door; I looked at the digital clock on the table. It read 3:10. I slowly opened the door and saw three tall dark figures standing at the door.
I had a mini- heart attack before I realised who they belonged to. ‘What the he/l, you guys? It’s, like, three in the morning.”
“Can we please come in?” Harry innocently asked.
“Who is it, Emily?” Sapphire mumbled from her bed.
“Niall, Harry and Liam,” I replied turning back to the boys.
“What do you want?” I asked impatiently. “Won’t you get into trouble if they find you in here?”
“Probably,” Niall said.
“Please, Em?” Liam asked.
“Oh, whatever. Come in. But we’re all asleep in here… Like you all should be,” I trailed off flopping on my bed and getting under the covers.
“Yes, mother,” Liam said sarcastically.
Skye sat up in her bed as Harry sat on the end of it facing her. “What are you doing in here?” she asked sleepily.
“We just thought we’d say hi,” Harry said.
“At three in the morning?” Sapphire questioned, lying on her back as Niall leaned on the wall next to her bed.
“Can we stay here tonight?” Liam asked.
“Well, yeah,” I said moving over so he could lie down. His arm snaked around my waist. They were up to something but I was too tired to do anymore investigating. Skye moved over for Harry and Niall awkwardly stood near the wall.
“Don’t be such a baby, Niall,” Sapphire said light-heartedly. Only she could say that to him without anyone thinking it was rude. She moved over for him and he reluctantly got into bed with her. “It’s not like we’re doing anything,” she added quietly. We fell back asleep pretty quickly.

“Emily,” Liam whispered. I grunted in response.
“Wake up. I want to show you something,” he whispered.
I turned onto my side to face him. “What time is it Liam?”
“It’s five-thirty in the morning. Please, I really want to show you this,” he added sweetly.
I quickly put a pair of shorts and a T-shirt on over my swimmers, because Liam told me to wear them, and we walked out of the hotel hand-in-hand.
“Liam, it’s still dark.”
“I know but I have to show you this,” we looked both ways then quickly ran across the deserted road. He guided me along the paths and we arrived at the beach that the hotel faced out onto. I smiled at him.
He took me to the sand and we sat down on a high peak. I rested my head back on his shoulder. “I love you, Emily,” he said.
“I love you too,” I said kissing him. I shivered at the breeze and he hugged me tighter. We sat there looking onto the ocean, listening to the waves and slowly saw the sky turn a pink-y, orange colour as the sun started to rise. We sat there for half an hour, in silence and in awe, and watched until it was fully in the sky.
My phone buzzed in my pocket and as I pulled it out, Liam’s went off. “It’s a text from Niall,” he said.
“Mine’s from Harry,” I said reading it. They wanted to know where we were. “We should probably get back before you get into trouble.”
He smiled. “Let’s go.” We ran back to the hotel.
“Thank you, Liam. That was beautiful,” I said in the lift going back to our level.
“It’s nothing, Emily. I’m glad I got to share that with you.”
He went for his room, and I went to mine to see what the others were doing.
