*A Sequel to Who Would Of Thought
Chapter 14
Brookes POV
Waiting was the worse part, but yet it was all we could do.
The emergency waiting room was pretty deserted except for a woman who came in with a sprained wrist.
Its been 4 hours since Nicole went into surgery and yet still no word.
I was sitting surprisingly comfortable on the cushioned chairs with my knees on another and Evanna's head laying in my lap. She finally gave up walking around crying softly clinging to Louis and sat down and fell asleep on his lap until he left to get coffee and food, she sloped down to my lap and I soothed her by playing with her hair.
Niall, Zayn and Liam all came back a few hours ago with some clothing for us to changed into when we were up for it and were now watching tv or were sleeping quietly.
My body ached saying it was time to stretch and get out of this dress that now felt like it was suffocating me. Carefully, trying not to wake Evanna sleeping, I manouvered myself out of my seat, but failing as Evii stirred and rubbed her eyes.
"Louis?" Evii whispered softly.
"No, its me, Brooke." I said crouching down to her.
"Oh." She stretched out.
"Wheres Nicole?" Evii asked.
"We don't know, we're still waiting." I replied as she sat up.
She placed her head in her hands and rubbed her face awake, but anyone could still tell she was tired and worn out, just like most of us.
"She needs to come out."
"I know she does, and she will, just give her time."
We heard Louis huff as he ran a finger through his messy hair and sit next to Evii.
"Hi love." He forced a smile for him.
"Hi." She replied softly.
Louis planted a small kiss on her forehead and she gave him a half smile.
"Come on, lets get you cleaned up and into something more comfy."
I offered out my hand and she extended hers until she stopped suddenly and looked at it. She closed her eyes concentrating on not thinking about the blood, but failed. Tears escaped her eyes once more and she bit on her lip.
"Come on." I whispered tears sliding through my eyes, taking her dried, bloody hand in mine and walking to the nearest bathroom with out bag of clothes.
I helped her slide of her white, mostly red, dress and we slipped into some comfy jeans, long sleeve shirt and bootie slippers.
I fixed Evannas updid hair with pins and left mine down, not really caring.
Evii lead the way out of the bathroom and headed for Louis' arms hugging him tightly before sitting on his lap, facing him, her face burried into his chest. I decided to sit on the floor next to Nialls sleeping body and watch tv quietly, until I saw Dr.Thomas walk out of the elevator.
"Dr.Thomas!" I quietly shouted.
Evii perked up and ran towards him with Louis and Harry, me following the 3 of them.
"Well?" Harry asked tiredly.
"Shes stable, the next 6 hours are critical though." He replied.
We all sighed knowing she survived surgery.
"Can we see her?" Harry asked.
"Shes doing good, shes in ICU for the night and will be moved tomorrow to the main recovery floor." He continued without skipping a beat.
"Can we see her?" Evii said a bit louder.
"Yes you may. Shes not awake. We gave her medication to keep her sleeping so she wont feel pain. Her left leg was severely broken. Its now fixed. She wont be able to walk on it for a month or even two. She'll be able to walk afterwards like she always has. Her face has a few cuts and bad bruises that should go away soon." He kept talking as we walked to the ICU, intesive care unit, to see her.
"As for her head injuries, we stitched the gash on her head, there wasnt alot of damage done to her head that we severely need to worry about." The doctor informed us.
He slid the door open and we saw Niccy's body laying still with a bandages all over and her leg in a cast with a boot on it.
Her chest was rising and falling along with 5 different IV lines connecting to a needle that was inserted into her arm and hand.
"Love, I am so sorry." Harry finally broke down sitting in the chair holding her right hand carefully.
"This is all my fault." He whispered to her.
Evii sat on Louis' lap who was perched against the wall on the floor rocking her softly side to side as she starred at Nicoles still body.
Niall wrapped his arms around my waist hugging me tightly and rested his chin on my shoulder.
I couldn't believe this happened, I mean we get her back and she gets hit by a car? Thats to insane for anyone to deal with. One thing kept puzzling my mind about what the doctor said; "There wasnt alot of damage done to her head.. nothing severely needing to be worried about."
"Hey Doc?" I asked before he left.
"Yes miss?" He replied looking over his next patients chart.
"I need to ask you something about what you said, it doesnt make sense to me." I answered.
Evannas head shot towards me and her eyes went somewhat wide, she was curious to know what the hell didn't fit.
"Go ahead." He insisted.

So I know you people are probably like "OMG why is she spending so much time on Nicole", well to be quite frank, i talked to the other members of the story and they are okay with it. I have other things planned out for them to go down as well. Please be patient its only chapter 14!
Also, sorry for not writing as much as I used to, I dunno why im not, i guess im running low on hypeness aha.
