For the Love of Senior
chapter elven
Bailey's P.O.V
That night when I got home my mom brought me into the family room she said we needed to talk. When I got into to the family room my dad was sitting on the couch.
"What are you still doing here?" I hissed.
"Now Bailey, I know your angry. You have every right to be. I got nervous about coming back last night and got drunk. I know I've been gone for the last four years but I wanna make it up to you. I want to come back."
"Why do you think you can just waltz back into our lives?" I snapped. "So much has changed in the four years you've been gone."
"Bailey I understand. But I've talked to Richie and your mother, they are willing to give me a second chance. The only way I'll stay Bailey is if you allow me to."
I looked at my mother who was standing silently. "Sweetie I know this is a lot of emotions right now but I truly believe he deserves a second chance. Bailey we would have our family back."
Family? What is a family? Does it necesarily involve two parents and children? Or is it the people you grow bonds with even if you're not bonded by blood? I looked at my dad.
"Sometimes you have to lose something and re-find it to realize it means everything to you to Bailey." My mom and brother wanted this. I think I had to be honest with myself.
"Fine you can stay, but you have to prove yourself to me."
"I promise Bailey."

That Monday Chad drove us to school and he held my hand the whole ten minute drive. I was warming up slowly to the idea of my dad staying in our lies again. It was nice to have dinner as a family even if Richie wasn't here. When we walked into shcool we parted ways to go to our lockers. His was on the first floor mine was on the second. As I was getting my books for my first few classes I saw someone coming out of the corner of my eye. The person stopped at the locker next to mine but she didn't use the locker.
"Hey, Bailey right?" The voice asked, I took my head from my locker and noticed it was the same blonde girl from Friday night.
"Oh hey umm-" I realized I didn't know her name.
"Becca. I'm a senior. I just thought I should introduce myself since I totally forgot to on Friday."
"It's okay."
"So you know Chad Gardner?" She leanded against the locker next to mine, the way all cool girls do.
"Yeah, were basically neighbors."
"Cool. So is there something going on with you guys?" She asked curiously.
"Well kinda yeah."
"Oh sweetie theres something you need to know."
"What?"
"Well its just he doesn't really like you. It's a game that all the Gardner boys play. Every time a Gardner boy has been a senior he's went after some frehsman girl. Both his brothers did it and now he's doing it to you. They just play with there heads."
My stomach dropped, "I seriously thought he liked me." I mummbled.
"Don't you think he would of like asked you out or asked you to homecoming by now if he really liked you."
"I don't know." I hung my head.
"Oh honey, its not your fault you couldn't have known. I'm so sorry Chad was a jerk to you." I looked at her and noticed her face may have had a pout for me but her eyes danced a little to much to feel as bad as she claimed but it didn't matter. I was dying, I felt like there was knife in my back, I tursted Chad with so much stuff about my life he was playing me this whole time. It was offical,
I hated Chad Gardner!
