City of Angels
Chapter three
Lunch came and I sat by myself. It wasn't like anyone could find me though. I was around the back of the school in the bike shed. The bike shed hasn't been used for years. I pulled out my book and started reading. I loved reading. I love how you can get so involved in a book that you don't even realise what's happening around you and you get to escape real life for a while.
"Hi."
I looked up at the figure hovering over me.
"How did you find this place?" I asked Mark.
"I saw you come here."
"What, so you're kind of like a stalker then?"
He laughed and sat down. Mark was nice and all but I preffered to come here alone. I liked to be by myself here and I didn't like distractions.
"Camp's next week."
"So I've heard."
"You're not very easy to talk to," He said.
"I've heard that too."
We sat in silence for a while until he finally said something.
"So, what are you reading?"
"Something."
"Whatever I give up."
And with that he left. I felt a tiny stab of guilt for being rude to him and letting him go but not guilty enough to chase after or apologise or anything crazy like that. The bell rang to signal the end of lunch but I stayed where I was. When I finally left I wasn't sure what time it was but the sky was a dark pinkey kind of colour.
When I got home and simply pushed the door and it swung open. Unlocked again. Mum wasn't home and my father had left us before I was born so I was home alone most nights. I was half way up the stairs when I heard a voice coming from downstairs.
"Hello?"
I walked back downstairs to find a girl with curly blonde hair, shiny blue eyes and a huge grin. She looked around my age.
"Um, hi?"
"Hey, I'm Chloe! My family and I just moved in next door yesterday. Do you go to the local high school because that's where I'm starting tomorrow!" She suddenely hugged me. "We just moved here from America so it was a long flight. We being my family and I of course. I have two older brothers, do you have any siblings?" She paused. "Sorry, am I rambling?"
"Not at all," I assured her.
After a few more hugs she left. Chloe seemed nice and I was glad to have already made some new friends today.

if somebody feels hungry if u give them food thts gr8 but
you make them lazy.but if u teach them how to earn their
