[[Possible new format, same story]]
HAPTER 15 "CREEPS"
I was walking to the bus stop in a plain white t-shirt with gray skinnies with my hair tied back. I waited nervously with a mix of anger and confusion. Why? I was nervous of what they would say to me. Anger because they had left me alone at the movies and confusion because, why?
The bus pulled up to the curb and as the doors opened I climbed on aboard. I quickly scanned the bus like I always did looking for Jamie and Victoria but I couldn't see the, anywhere.
Confused more than ever, I took an empty seat alone. Questions swan through my head. Are they avoiding me? Where are they? Did something happen? Did I do something? My head was over flooded with questions on the way to school.
When the bus finally reached the school after what seemed to be an hour. I stormed off the bus and looked around the field from the bus steps and didn't see them at all. Not seeing them, I walked over to the doors of the school and stepped in. The doors shut behind me.
I still didn't see anyone with more questions swimming through me head and walked over to my locker. I opened it pulling out my Language art text book and the current book we were reading, Beowulf, and closed the locker.
I jumped back from slight surprise as I I found Victoria and Jamie's big eyes staring at me. I yelled/whispered, you know yelling softly, "Where were you guys?" while they asked us, "Where were you yesterday?"
I replied to them, "At the Edward 7 movie theater!" while they replied to my question, "At the AMG theaters."That explained quite alot. There was a slight silence in between us until we looked into each others eyes and laughed. Make that cracked up. We kept laughing and while laughing, I thought about why we were laughing. I didn't know why but we kept laughing.
We finally were finally stopped by the bell. Shoot, were late. We looked at each other again and we all got the same message. Run. So we did. We ran to our next class, Language Arts and ran there giggling. Halfway there, the late bell rang. We were basically dead now.
We burst through the doors a little dramatically, our giggles dying by stares shooting at us like knifes. "Why were you 3 girls late?" Mr. Lasana asked.
I said, "We carpooled and our rides were late."
Victoria said, "I didn't feel so good this morning so I was going to stay home but my mom was going to carpool until I felt better so we left in a rush."
And Jamie said, "Heather forgot her homework at home so we had to go back." I didn't really care that we made different excuses but I hated how Jamie said, "HEATHER forgot..." Also the carpooling reminded me of this morning.
Mr.Lasana shook his head and said, "You 3 girls see me after class." I bit my lip and took my seat. During class, I kept wondering what would happen. I didn't know what to feel. Should I wish for time to go slower? If I did, I would be stuck thinking more about this. Faster? It would get me faster to the consequence. Either way, thinking about it made time go faster.
My notebook was empty with no notes, my worksheet that was due at the end of class was only halfway done. The class was soon dismissed.
Mr. Lasana said, "Class dismissed. I stood up but sat back down when he said, "Except you three."
