I don't know how long you've been a member of this site, but I've been here for 6 1/2 years... so as far you saying you want the old witty back you're sadly mistaken. This is a QUOTE website, and the vent section is fairly new. If you want to just see people whining about their lives, you're clearly on the wrong website for that. :) reply

darling, i get where you're coming from but step back and think about this for a bit. who invented this website? a guy. whats it called? witty profiles. this was, originally, a place for funny sayings. that's what it started our as from the very very beginning. did steve create the website with the hopes that a bunch of girls would spill their hearts out on it? i honestly dont think he even thought of that.
love quotes and everything are awesome, and i do agree that the older ones were nicer, but its still the same girls with the same problems.
all of us are different. some of us need to see heartbreak quotes after a break-up, and we need to write them, so we do. others don't want to think about it. they want to escape. don't you think, witty is an escape for us?
trust me, i know that you can't handle all vent quotes and heartbreak quotes and stuff. that was practically my whole 8th grade year, but you know what made my year bearable besides the huge drama and cutting and suicidal thoughts? the funny moments. where i forgot that my two best friends hate each other. when i forgot that my bestest friend was close to committing suicide. when i forget that most of my friends cry themselves to sleep every night. im not saying it to mean i dont want to deal with it, just that it can turn out to be too much sometimes.
dont leave witty. you've already established your point about witty changing. even though i disagree with it, you should stand by it. remember, there are still plenty of heartbroken girls on here. we still have plenty of problems. we'd stil love to have people like you talk with us about them.
you started this whole talk about change. why would you leave after it? if you really want change, stay on here. look at the vent quotes and feel the deep emotion that's still very present in them. talk to us. help us out. but dont tell us we need a change and then leave.
i know this is a really long comment, but i hope hope hope you read this. im not putting you down, as you can tell. im sorry if i was even a little bit harsh anywhere here. ishould really go to bed now. its 12:31. right.

I think this site is perfect. If you'd like to see just venting, there's a vent section. You can read that. But we like laughing at the funny ones, it makes the site more enjoyable. But you don't have to look at them. Just go to the vent section exclusively if that's what you wanna read (: reply

i agree and disagree. sure they get old sometimes but Witty is just a place for girls to come together. why would we do away with the funny quotes and awkward moments if thats what makes us, us. reply

uhmm the "old witty" was funny quotes too.. the "vent" category wasn't added untill well after the site was made. i agree that witty has changed for the worse, but also for the better. i enjoy the funny quotes, and the sappy ones about love and stuff & i think we need a balance of both. the only thing that i think needs to go is the jockers and what not. i write funny ones and ones about how i'm feeling, some people just have more enthusiasm for different types. the one type of quote thats starting to get annoying though, is dear blank please blank ones. and here's a tip, if you don;t want to see funny quotes, go to a different category. its not our fault we like ones that are funny too! reply

i personally loove the funny quotes on this site(: they make the nights when im depressed, happier. im not really fond of the MLIA quotes though, i like hearing REAL stories that happenn. i think the site needs a varity, like it has, but i'd rather see less 'favorite if' or the sad/untrue stories that are like 'please give me 500 favorites' blahblahblah. but yeah, i still love witty no matter whatttt♥ reply
