They only stay together for a year or so. They got together briefly after that, but it didn't work. They have a baby together and raise her, without being in a relationship. When their baby is two, Ross realizes he's still in love with Rachel. She announces she's moving to Paris. Before she leaves, they share the night. While she thinks it was his way of saying goodbye, he thought it would be the reason for her to stay. When she leaves for the airport, Ross goes after her, but he fails to get to her.
