Hello dearies!
Young author.  I prefer the term "prodigy."  Just kidding :3
Don't be surprised it I give up on my stories after a few chapters or delete them all together.  I often re-read my work and don't like it nearly as much as when I posted it.
Have ideas for my stories? Leave me a comment, I'd love to hear from you!
Name's Rachel.  Fourteen, short and proud.  I'm taken and very happy <3  I love the idea of love.  Writing is my obsession; music is my addiction; softball is my life.  I have a temper, so be nice kiddies!

    Chapter Three
“How do you know my Aunt Katherine?” I sputtered as I finally managed to release myself from his grip. I stood and took a few shaky steps backward.
His eyes rolled. “I kidnapped her.”
This caused me to let out a quiet gasp.
“Just kidding! Calm down. What, you thought I was here to abduct you? Naaah, I’m her neighbor. She got a little held up at the hospital, real bad car accident, and since I run some errands for her she asked if I’d come get you.”
A normal person probably would have let out a sigh of relief, apologized, or at least explained themselves. Not I. “You’re late!” I scolded, pointing an accusing finger at him.
He scratched the back of his head awkwardly. “Pokémon was on… I lost track of time.”
“How in the world could you forget to pick someone up just because— did you say Pokémon? Well, okay, at least you have a good excuse.”
He responded with a surprised smile. “I didn’t think a girl like you would be into…” he trailed off.
“Into what?” I questioned suspiciously, raising an eyebrow.
“Well… fun stuff. Not saying you don’t look fun or anything, but, you know,” he gestured toward my clothing.
I cast my gaze downward, taking in a pastel pink sundress with lace at the bottom, which was coordinated perfectly with a cream sweater and matching sandals. Mom insisted that as long as Aunt Katherine was taking me in, I might as well look nice for her.
“Ohhhh, you think I’m a cupcake!” I snorted quite unattractively, which caused me to blush. “Naw, my mom made me wear this.”
“Well then, maybe we can be friends after all,” he said. “I’m Logan, by the way, and seeing as I’m supposed to have you home…” he paused, “half an hour ago, we’re going to have to use a mode of transportation!”
“Uh… what did you have in mind?” I asked. After spending a day and a night on a smelly bus, I really didn’t want to take one again.
“Oh… you know, my ride,” he said, waving his hand airily and walking away. He stopped when he noticed I wasn’t following behind him. “Come on, silly!” he exclaimed, grabbing my elbow and dragging me off like a toddler. I had a feeling my sandals wouldn’t be white by the time I got home…

    Chapter Two
“Arrrgh!” I flinched as a finger forcibly jabbed my side. In an instant I remembered where I was and just what could happen to me. Visions of tall scary men who planned to carry me off and violate me crept into my head. In that single instant, I saw my life flash before my eyes. My blissfully simple childhood, my family struggles as I grew into a teenager, and my wish to die. It all seemed so stupid now that it was all going to end like this.
I jumped to my feet and spun around to find the culprit.
A boy. A scrawny boy. A freaking scrawny teenage boy with a gap between his front teeth. Like hell I was going to let this shrimp take advantage of me.
“What the hell!” I screeched, my hands flailing high above my head as if making myself seem larger might scare him off. His sapphire eyes grew wide and he jumped, taken aback by my sudden outburst. He held his hands out in front of him, as if to say he didn’t want any trouble. Well he picked the wrong chick to mess with. “Do you just go around scaring innocent girls often! Pervert! Creep! I don’t even know you! Go away now, or I’ll… I’ll…”
“You’ll what?” he asked, regaining his composure and plastering an arrogant smirk on his face. His freckled arms crossed smugly over his chest.
    “I’ll beat you up!”
“Oh, really?” he asked, stepping closer and closing much of the distance between us. It was then that I realized how much bigger than me he actually was. Sure, he was on the lean side, but he must have been at least six feet tall. I myself was only five feet even.
I gulped. “Yes, really!” My fists clenched and rose weakly. I scoured my brain in an attempt to remember any means of self-defense. Nothing. Uh-oh. In a desperate attempt to escape, I lunged at him, bulldozing straight into his stomach. He let out an “oof!” and fell, hitting the ground hard. His blue eyes crinkled and his upper lip raised in pain, making the gap in his teeth more noticeable.
“Ow!” he yelled as I hit his chest, albeit weakly. “Listen for a minute!” I hit him again. He snatched my wrists. “HEY!” I tried to pry his hands off, digging my nails into my wrists and drawing blood in the process. “Stop that! Your aunt! Katherine!” I froze. Auntie Katherine? How did he know her? Did he kidnap her? Better yet, how did my bad luck follow me half way across the country?

    Chapter One
A chill ran down my spine as the autumn breeze penetrated the warmth of my sweater. I wrapped it tighter around myself and stared at the place that would be my new home.
I stared at the moss green sign before me. Welcome to Plum Grange. Oh yes, welcome, welcome. God it was cold here. Why Auntie Katherine decided to live in North Dakota is beyond me. Well, where was she? Maybe she changed her mind without telling me. She knew my parents well. She’d call about once a month to check up on me at home, although I hadn’t seen her since I was about five. Our conversations never lasted more than five minutes due to my constant excuses to get off the phone. However, at the end of each, she’d always say, “Dearie, just remember, if you ever want to spend time away, you come and stay with your Aunt Katherine. I’ll always have place for you.”
“Ok, bye,” is all I’d ever reply. Never a, “Thanks Auntie, I love you.” I was such a brat. I was an immature sixteen-year-old caught up in my own little world. My life was just so much harder than everyone else’s, right? What could they possibly know about anything? My self-destructive behavior exiled me from my friends. Up until now, I had spent all my time locked away in my room, listening to heavy metal. It was all a big, attention-seeking game, not that I ever got any attention anyway.
Yet here I was, so small and powerless as Plum Grange loomed over me in all its moss-greenness. Oh how the mighty have fallen.
I waited for Aunt Katherine for a long time. Eventually, I got fed up and dug out my cell phone. Dialing her home phone number, I pressed it to my ear. It rang five times and went to voicemail. I sighed and plopped down right in the dirt by the side of the road. I put my backpack in my lap and rested my head on it. I dozed off, probably not the best thing to do when sitting alone in an unfamiliar place. These types of mistakes tend to get young women into trouble, which is just what I would get into as a figure made his way through the forest, closer and closer to me and my troubles.
