Untold Story: Part 7
I found Zack near the chips and brownies, no surprise, and showed him the text.
“Well, I’m not really sure what you should do, maybe text them on my phone and ask who it is” he suggested.
“Alright, but there’s just one problem, the number’s blocked” I retorted.
“Oh… yea that could be a problem” he said, “I would just go downstairs and have fun, don’t think about it. We can sort it out when we get home.”
“I guess I don’t really have any other choice” I said, and headed for the basement. Once I got downstairs, I went back to the foosball table where the game had just ended. I ran up to Gabe’s face and took a picture. The flash on my camera was blinding so Gabe’s face in the picture was all squished and squinty. I showed it to him and he laughed so hard it looked like he was going to pee in his pants.
“Andrew, come here” someone called from the snack table.
“Kay dude, I’ll be right there” I heard my brother shout across the room. I saw him walk across the room towards the kid who had called him, Ian, and I turned back to foosball, where another game was about to begin. The night was starting out to be very uneventful, so I walked over to Seamus, whose house it was and asked if I could turn the music up. He said it was fine so I wandered over to the radio and started to turn up the volume. Just as I did, I heard someone scream my name, “KATIE!" I turned up the volume and danced my way across the room to the beat of ‘DJ Got Us Falling In Love Again’.
“Yeah?” I asked. It was Andrew, lying on the floor with Ian above him, about to punch him in the stomach. “IAN WHAT THE HECK DO YOU THINK YOU’RE DOING!?” I screamed.
He looked up at me and said, “He wouldn’t drink the punch, so I thought I’d give it to him myself.”
Although it was a clever line, I proceeded to slap Ian across the face. He immediately got up off of Andrew but instead of walking away, he stomped towards me. “Don’t. Ever. Slap me. Again.” He bellowed. I backed up, ran to the middle of the room and started dancing with the rest of my friends, hoping Ian would loose me in the crowd of people. But then I remembered about Andrew, probably still in shock, and wondered if someone was helping him. I scanned the room for Gabe and found him back at the foosball table. Cautiously, I danced my way over to him and asked if he would come with me to see if Andrew was ok. He agreed since he was about two feet taller than me and much stronger. We walked over to the snack table and searched for Andrew, but he was nowhere in sight.
