I think school isnt about the material you learn, but the manor in which you learn it.
They teach you complex worthless things so that simpler things may be more easily acheived.
So theyre not really teaching you how to graph the inverse of som complex function, they're teaching you how to learn.
Which, in my opinion, is a complete and utter waste of my time and can I please just graduate already.

So a few days ago, one of my best guy friends came out to me.
I've known for a while he's gay, probably before he even knew
I feel really bad, because he grew up in a really conservative family that keeps everything hush hush and isnt accepting of homosexuality. I was the first person he has told, inluding his twin sister, who is one of my good friends. Now im stuck in an awkward place because he made me promise not to tell anyone for some reason, only people are constantly making fun of him for acting gay, and I really want to just punch them int he face. In addition, my best friend is hugely crushing on him, and I cant tell her the real reason he won't go out with her, so shes all mopey and urggg. I am really proud of him for finaly coming out to someone though, and will support him and the way he is no matter what he has to go through due to it. I love you Sam <33

It's been bothering me for a while how much people argue over quotes about religion.
Everyone wants to be right and is fighting whole-heartedly to prove themselves right.
Theres a reason why we use the words "I beleive."
Today is a timeh erwe people should be able to have freedom of beleif and freedom of speech.
So go ahead and badmoutho thre people for beleiving in something just as mucha s you beleive in whatever you do.
The only thing we have the right do is continue beleiving what we wish to.
So please, dont be ignornant and above it.
We' re ll people and should be treated as such.

so Friday at school we had a dress down day, where we pay a dollar to dress out of uniform. When i walked into homeroom, this guy looked at me and said "god Kia, you're so fat." Im really selfconcious about my weight and i coildnt tell if he was bring sarcastic and actualy meant it as a compliment or if he actualy thought i looked fat.... anyways now im even more hypervigilant about it... my mom always is telling me that if i could just loose 15 pounds i'd look perfect... but i just thougt it was my mom being crazy.... what if i actualy need to loose that weight and my moms just telling me the truth and all mu friends are luing when they say im skinny and not to listen to her??
sorry i just needed to vent for a minute :P

I don't have the courage to cut
But when I accidentaly cut myself
I stare at the blood and love the feeling of the pain
Watching it bead up on my skin
    It's calming
But I could never bring that blade to my skin

Pepole ask me why I don't try in school.
"Your grades now effect the rest of your life! Don't you care about your future? Done you want to have a good, high paying job?"
The truth is, grades to me feel like a petty, insignificant thing.
How can I focus on grades when all thats on my mind are my hardships.
How can I feel I am investing my time in something good when I could be working, making money so I can move out of my moms house and make my own decisions.
How can I pay attention to things that I know I will never again use once I finish the unit test.
But most of all, how can I focus on grades, when there are people out there who are struggling every day to survive?
I would kill to just go make a difference in the world, and I feel that if people wont accept me as I am without a degree from some high end college, then they have their priorities backwards.
I just want to make a difference.
I want to spend my time doing what I love.
I just, for once in my life want to be happy.
