Some Cuts Just Won't Heal
Chapter 11
Before I knew it, it had been already a one and a half since I saw Drew. I sighed as I put my head of the table of the café. Suzy, a friend I met through Dee, asked “What’s wrong?” with that gentle smile of hers. I would tell her but she probably wouldn’t get all this drama. “Nothing” I replied with a slight smile. Suddenly Dee bursts through the door. “NORA!!! WHERE ARE YOU?!?! NOR…Oh there you are!” Dee screamed as she ran towards our table. “Dee! Would it kill you just to be a bit quieter? You’re disturbing the other people!” I whispered. “I have BIG news! Take a look at this.” She said as she handed me the card. It was pink and lacey with a strong scent of lavender. “What is it?” I asked Dee. “Open it up and you will see.” I flipped open the card and read out, “You are invited to the wedding…” “Dee, you got invited to a wedding? OMG, Who’s is it?!” I said. Dee stared at me for a moment. “Nora…continue reading and you will know who’s wedding it is. I read aloud, “You are invited to the wedding of Gigi and Drew.” I stopped for a moment and looked up to Dee. Dee stared right into my eyes showing a bit of anger and a bit of sadness or pity…for who? Probably me. “Eh? Drew is getting married? How wonderful~ I always thought he was a playboy. Now hopefully he can settle down with just one person.” Suzy giggled happily to herself. “I’m sorry Suzy, we have to go now. We’ll hang out some other time ok?” Dee said taking me by my arm. “Ok, thanks for hanging out with me today.” Suzy called out cheerfully. Once we got out of the café, Dee took me home. Thank God no one was home when Dee and I came home, because I cried my eyes out. “Nora, you have to forget about him. What is so special about him anyway? By the way, that jerk sent you an invitation too. He must be out of his mind if he thinks we are going.” I dried off my tears. “Dee, I want to go see him. I want an explanation.” I said silently. “Nora! Would you wake up already! You are just going to get hurt again once see him. I know that. I knew that already. I knew that once I see him , I would get hurt and cry my eyes out again. But I want to know what he’s doing. What does he mean? Marriage? Drew? It all just doesn’t make sense! Dee, seeing me deep in thought got up and said, “Nora, I’m leaving for now. Remember what I said. And don’t go see Drew if you know what’s best for you.” A few hours later, it was already 11pm. I determined myself that I was going to see Drew and ask for an explanation.

Alice and the Shadow Marked Land
(A Twisted version of Alice in Wonderland)
Prologue-
"Sit down Alice, I have something very important to tell you" Father patted a seat next to him. I tilted my head to the side in confusion, strange father never wanted to talk to me. I held the ragged bunny doll momma made in my hands and climbed onto the seat.
"What is it, father?" I asked politely. It's better this way, to treat each other like strangers and not like a family. He always wanted it like that. "Mom as you know has died in a terrible car accident a year ago and-"
"She didn't die from a accident. If she did, why was there no blood on momma's car? Why was her body not found?" I questioned. He stared at me, his eyes flashed amusement and shock.
He shook his head and got up from his seat. "You'll get it later on Alice" he patted my head, "Well as I said before, it would be best if I put you up for adoption... I...I can't take care of you any more Alice."
I stared at him for a moment, adoption? I took a deep breath, trying to hold back the tears. "If that is what you want Father, I'll get packed."
He nodded, "I'm sorry Alice." He got up and walked out the room. I sat there in the dark, I tighten my grip on the doll.
I know why you didn't want me Father.
It's not because you couldn't take care of me is it?
It's because after Momma left us, it's to much to even look at me.
It's because I look just like her...

Favorite if, when you were little...
You would close the refridgerator door really slow to see if the light really does goes off when you close it.
