Majority means most, and knowing us Wittians, majority of us don't have to be 16 and up to know what's going on in America. We're brighter than most people.

The majority of kids on this site are teenage girls under the age of 16. They know little to none about politics and even if they do, it's probably something regurgitated from their parents. I bet less than 10% of you girls actually watch the news and keep track of what Obama and Romney actually do for the country. This isn't to say that I watch the news and have an opinion. I don't really care who does anything because I don't know what they do and what the difference is between what they did. There's a reason you have to be 18 to vote and that's because kids under that age don't know enough based on their own opinions rather than everyone else's

There is a reason why you have to be 18. I agree with you. People under the age of 18 dont really know about politics. im not saying EVERYONE because some teens actually do know this . But I agree with you

Thanks for copying the other girl's comment, but once again: You wouldn't believe how many of us teens that are under 16 understand what is going on. Most of us like me have watched every single debate and care 100% about who is going to run America, I know what's going on and I'm only 13 and a half. Don't think just cuz we aren't like 100 years old we don't know what is going on in America, and in the world. Most of us teens know the politics nowadays, and we don't juts base our choices off of our opinions. WAY over 10% watch the news and not all of us are girls (even though I am). Exactly, you don't watch the news and you don't understand the difference. They both are going to run our country down this year, they both suck. But one of them are doing better then the other by personality and trust, and our teen opinions aren't the reason it's 18 to vote and over. If you haven't noticed, the voting age is going DOWN, not UP. We teenagers know ALOT, not just based on our opinions. Many of us are into politics and care about America. It is NOTHING regurgitating our parents.

SORRY THIS IS LATE BUT, BETTER LATE THAN NEVER!
I am going into Junior High this year, too. I don't know too much about it, just what my older sister has told me and some helpful tips on youtube. Just to let you know I'm really paranoid about it. I've been searching witty, youtube, answers.com to find tips and I still feel like I don't have enough. FYI, this is gonna be long, soo keep reading!
1. On my school site, there is a map of the two levels of the school. Hopefully, you have that, too. Print it off. On the first day of school highlight your classes on the map, it will come in handy!
2. There will be lots of helpful teachers in the hallways the first day of school, don't be worried to ask them where a class is if your lost!
3. you WONT get "Sevie Slammed" "Booked" "Shoved in a locker." Those are pretty much just tall tales.
4. Don't worry about the big kids. They were all little 7th graders once. Just think how horrified they were!
5. Buy a "locker shelve." Any where from $5-$10. It will save you lots of space and will keep you extra organized. Sources: Target, Office Max, Walmart, Walgreens, etc.
6. You will have things called "Hours" or "Periods" (Mine call it hours) There will be six hours. Each one is 50 minutes long. At 4th hour you will be excused to lunch (How my school works)
7. (This is what I'm planning on doing but you don't have to do it) Since you have 6 hours, you can file your notebooks and folders in rainbow coloured order.
Example:
Hour 1: Red Hour 2: Orange Hour 3: Yellow, etc.
8. Have once side folder be "Non-Finished Work" and other side be "Finished Work" It will be much more organized.
If you're a little scared on the first day, just calm yourself, everyone had to go through 7th grade, it will be fun! Trust me:)

okay, well i live where elementary is K-6 and we call middle school, junior high which is 7-9 and high school 10-12. This is how mine works.
1. you get your own locker which rocks! you get your own gym and regular locker so buy two combination locks. it will help if the have the same combo too!
2. there are things called hours or periods, each is 50 minutes long. You have 6 "periods"
3. you get time in between to get all your stuff together and have a little potty break...
4. there are LOTS of cliquey people. Stay with a nice, caring group who will always be sweet to you.
5. there will be NEW people going to your school so just be yourself
6. write down your locker combo on anything. DON'T share it with any friends no matter if you trust them or not. I have had experience with someone breaking into my locker and stealing my calculator and my lock...
and just have fun!! :)
