Your first year of junior high/middle school (I'm assuming it's 6th grade for you too, but it doesn't really matter.) is not going to be as hard as a lot of people make it out to be. First things first: You won't get shoved in a locker. I promise.
Like lexaluvsyou said, get a map of the school. It helps a lot with finding your way around. Carry it with you all the time on your first week. As for organizing, binders worked the best for me, but it all depends on what works best for you and what's on the school supply list. Some schools have a specific way they want you to organize, others don't. Make sure though that if you have notebooks they either come with folder/dividers, or buy some folders. That way you won't lose papers. Chances are you'll have more homework than in elementary school. The best way to handle this is to set aside a time to do your homework every night. Do the most important things, or the ones with the closest due date first. If you have any trouble managing your homework, your parents, friends or teachers could probably help you. Speaking of which, don't be afraid to ask your teachers for help or advice. For me it was always kind of embarrassing to say I didn't understand something, but it's better to ask than to be confused. ALWAYS put your things in your backpack right after you're done with them so they don't get lost.

Another important thing to remember is to not change yourself in order to fit in. Trust me, middle school is so much easier when you can just be yourself. The older kids aren't as mean as a lot of people say they are. For me, the year went by really fast.
Sorry if I overloaded you with advice. You'll do great. Have lots of fun and good luck! If you have any questions, I would be more than happy to answer them, as would many of the other wittians who have already experienced a year or more of junior high/middle school. :)

SORRY THIS IS LATE BUT, BETTER LATE THAN NEVER!
I am going into Junior High this year, too. I don't know too much about it, just what my older sister has told me and some helpful tips on youtube. Just to let you know I'm really paranoid about it. I've been searching witty, youtube, answers.com to find tips and I still feel like I don't have enough. FYI, this is gonna be long, soo keep reading!
1. On my school site, there is a map of the two levels of the school. Hopefully, you have that, too. Print it off. On the first day of school highlight your classes on the map, it will come in handy!
2. There will be lots of helpful teachers in the hallways the first day of school, don't be worried to ask them where a class is if your lost!
3. you WONT get "Sevie Slammed" "Booked" "Shoved in a locker." Those are pretty much just tall tales.
4. Don't worry about the big kids. They were all little 7th graders once. Just think how horrified they were!
5. Buy a "locker shelve." Any where from $5-$10. It will save you lots of space and will keep you extra organized. Sources: Target, Office Max, Walmart, Walgreens, etc.
6. You will have things called "Hours" or "Periods" (Mine call it hours) There will be six hours. Each one is 50 minutes long. At 4th hour you will be excused to lunch (How my school works)
7. (This is what I'm planning on doing but you don't have to do it) Since you have 6 hours, you can file your notebooks and folders in rainbow coloured order.
Example:
Hour 1: Red Hour 2: Orange Hour 3: Yellow, etc.
8. Have once side folder be "Non-Finished Work" and other side be "Finished Work" It will be much more organized.
If you're a little scared on the first day, just calm yourself, everyone had to go through 7th grade, it will be fun! Trust me:)
