Ch 1

Dear Diary,
Hi my name is Lillian, Lilly for short. I’m 13 and I live in Colorado. There has been talk that the world will end. I’m afraid that it might be true. I’ve decided to do something everyday that I want to do but have never done. I want to live my life to the fullest so, today I told my crush, Mason, that I’ve had a huge crush on him since the 5th grade. Once the words came out of my mouth I realized how stupid I was until he said, “I’m in love with a beautiful girl. She is smart, amazing, funny, cool, the cutest girl I’ve ever seen, and I could just go on forever.” Then I felt even stupider. “Oh thats okay. I’ll see you around.” I mumbled starting to tear up. “Wait,” he shouted as I was walking away. “Do you not get it?” “Get what?” I whispered just loud enough for him to hear. “Wow! Well this girl, I have known her as long as I’ve known you and,” “And what?” “Listen. What I was saying was I met her in 5th grade and, and, well, Lilly, I, I, was describing you. So, um, maybe you will consider um, going out with me?” I started laughing once Mason said that, because he was so nervous and his face turned bright red. He started walking away, when finally, I caught up to him. He said disappointedly, “I thought you said you had a big crush on me.” “Of course I do.” “Then why were you,” “What? Why was I laughing?” “Uh yeah.” “I’ve been trying to ask you out since 6th grade. And now that you have I can’t think of any response except I would do anything for you. I will honestly say I love you and I can’t change that. I will go out with until the world ends.”
