If The World Really Does End.
Ch 5

Dear Diary,
I didn’t think I would ever do this today, but I did. It was all over the news, “Local Girl Missing.” I can’t believe it. Val, she’s missing. Today I went all over town searching for my best friend. “Mom I have to look with the others. She has been my best friend since Pre-K, and she’s gone. May I please just go and look?” “Alright, but not for a long time the doctor wants you to rest.” “Thank you so much mom!” I said, bolting out of the house with my jacket in my hand. Mason, Val’s family, and I searched together all day but no luck. Her parents were talking to each other, tears streaming down their faces saying, “What if we never find our baby girl again? I’ll be crushed.” My mom came and picked me up around five, gave me medicine, and I ate dinner. I couldn’t sleep knowing Val was missing. My mom gave me some medicine that made me go to sleep because she knew once they went to sleep, I would leave the house trying to find my best friend. They were right.
