~Chapter 15
Hours had past since the odd event down by the fair grounds and it was still on my mind. Selina, Toria, and Mandy sat in my massive basement, doing eachothers nails and listening to music.
“So Jess, you going after that Damon dude now or what?” Toria winked and giggled.
I laughed, “Not a chance girl, I hardly know him.”
“That’s true,” Mandy piped in. “He just moved here and to be honest, he kind of gives me the chills… both good and bad.”
“That’s what I was going to say! He’s really… I don’t know. Mysterious I guess you could say.” Selina added.
“Oh thank God I’m not the only one…” I said which made us all laugh.
“Well, we know one thing, he’s hot and he lives next door… better lower our voices guys.” Toria whispered.
We all laughed again and then Seli changed the subject.
“Hey guys, why don’t we set up for the party tomorrow? I got a forwarded text from Mika that it’s going to be the party of the year.” Seli smiled and laughed.
“Yeah I got that text too!” Mandy laughed pulling out her phone, “only mine was from Mason. Word gets around fast!”
We all laughed and agreed to start setting up. It wasn’t really setting up I guess, we pretty much just removed all the expensive stuff hanging in my house off the walls and moved coffee tables around to make more room.
“Alright, I’m going to quickly go get my phone from my room. I’ll meet you guys downstairs.” I said as I headed for upstairs. When I walked into my room though I had realized my balcony door was opened. I gasped and quickly ran over to the door and closed it and locked it. I looked around my room to make sure nothing was taken that was of high importance.
Did I honestly leave the door open all day?!
UGH, how stupid was I? I tried to calm down a little more by taking in deep breaths and closing my eyes. Once my heart started beating like normal I opened my eyes and walked over to my desk and picked up my phone. I relaxed a little and rolled my eyes once I saw people blowing up my phone. I scanned my room again, everything seemed to be in place… but something seemed wrong. I brushed away the uneasy feeling and headed back downstairs.
“Well there you are, took you long enough!” Seli shouted looking up from whatever Mandy was doing.
“Sorry, I couldn’t find my phone… what are you guys doing?” I asked, changing the subject.
“Making a playlist-“
“The best play list in the world, actually.” Mandy said cutting off Selina.
Selina rolled her eyes and got up from the couch, “So anyways, we kind of mapped out the party and it looks like a good one.” Selina said, her eyes gleaming with excitement.
“Pretty much just lots of alcohol, loud music, and hot guys in swim suits.” Toria remarked.
I smiled, “Sounds great to me. How about we set up the snack bar in the backyard this time… rather then completely destroying the carpet.” We all laughed.
“Oh how much we’ve grown,” Toria sighed, “but yeah good idea.”
“Great, looks like this is going to be one hell of a party.”
- Soooo sorry I haven't written in AGES. So much going on with me moving, the new school and such.
