 Hard Knock Life
~Chapter

There was one hours till the party and all the drinks and snacks had been set up. It looked as though the entire school population was going to be there so we wanted to be sure everything was perfect.
Well, I did at least.
"Hey Jess, how come I've never seen you wear this top before?!" Selina said stepping out of my walk in closet holding up a black off the shoulder shirt with sparkily silver zebra print on it.
She was going through my clothes as tradition before every party and I was laying on my stomach on my bed scrolling through my facebook news feed.
"Because I got it a couple months ago when me and my mom went on our shopping trip in
Detroit..." I explained looking up from my laptop.
Selina bit her lip, "oh I see... well it's a nice shirt." She added. "It's a silly reason to not wear it."
Selina was the only one that really understood what I went through in life. And although I wasn't too fond of my mother, I had to agree. It was a really nice shirt and would kind of go perfectly with my pearl white short shorts I was wearing tonight.
"Actually, you're right." I said getting up from the bed, "plus it would be easy to take off when I want to go in the pool." I quickly took off the shirt I was wearing and replaced it with the one Selina was holding infront of me.
"It looks even better on you, and it shows your belly button ring!" Selina squealed.
I rolled my eyes and laughed. I looked in the mirror and studied myself. Why is everyone else happy with me but myself?
I always tried not to complain about life, because I knew I had it made and somewhere else in the world, someone was going through something far worse then me.
I left my hair down and straight and applied little eyeliner but lots of water proof mascara. My eyelashes were naturally long, and I loved it.
"Dude, people are pulling up. Let's get this party started!" Selina giggle as we both dashed down the stairs. I walked over to the door as Selina headed over to go turn on the music.
I opened the door and people piled in, everyone giving me a hug before making there way into the house. This continued for about 30 minutes until I opened the door to Toria, Mandy, Josh, Nathan, Keith and Damon. I smiled as they all came in.
"Hey guys, you're finally here!" I yelled over top of the noice while giving them each a hug.
"Well, Mandy here couldn't figure out which outift she wanted to where." Nathan chuckled nudging her with his elbow.
"Oh shut up!" she laughed while playfully slapping him.
We all made our way into the party and started dancing. I scanned around and it looked like people were having a great time. I saw couples making out pretty much everywhere, and I caught a glimps of the backyard before and already seen people splashing eachother in the pool.
Another successful party.
After awhile I started to get tired from jumping around everywhere so I went to go get a drink and talk to a few people I hadn't seen in awhile.
I stood by the beverage table and bit my lip, to be honest I wasn't really up for getting drunk. I decided on a can of coke and decided to head outside to the pool.
I talked to a couple of people I knew and realized they were drunk, it made me laugh.
But then I saw a sight that made my stomach turn inside out and made me sick...
