Chapter 1- Little you
I sigh sitting in the last period before schools over and the weekends take over while scribbling my name with HIS name. My name is Juliet Calder age 18. I’m not popular nor was I the loner, I was what they called, average. I have a mom and a dad, but soon, very soon they’ll be getting a divorce. I put the thought in the back of my head.
I had a crush on the one and only Dawson for as long as I knew it. He’s the caption of the school’s football team with light brown hair, cute blur eyes and a smile that would make me melt. Too bad he doesn’t know me. I was only known as the tomboy, with black straight hair and soft brown eyes, with glasses period.
I looked over to see my best friend, Jane waving to me. I smiled back as the bell rang, we’re free! I quickly packed my stuff to meet with Jane in front of the school. “How’s class?” she questioned. “I don’t know,” I sigh loudly, “I’m too busy writing my name with Dawson” I mumbled.
Jane rolled her eyes, “Jeez, again?” I pouted, “I can’t help that he’s just so cute!” I was too busy talking about Dawson that I accidently knocked into someone. “S-Sorry!” I quickly said, looking at who I bumped into. I quickly widened my eyes, it was Dawson!
He smiled at me, “its okay, I should have been more careful, you’re Juliet right?” I shook my head, he knows my name! “That’s cool” he started to laugh, it sounded like church bells, “Reminds me of Romeo and Juliet see you later got to go before coach kills me” he waved and ran off.
Jane smirked at me as my cheeks turned red, “There now he knows you, come on my brother is driving me home today I’ll give you a ride!” she exclaimed pulling me down the steps of the school.
Brother? “You have a brother?” I widened my eyes at Jane. I’ve been to her house a thousand times but I never once heard or seen her brother. Jane shook her head, “Yeah, his name is Skyler he’s a loner you’ll see why in a minute. Don’t feel bad if he doesn’t talk, he barely talks to me, we don’t get along though he’s quite a talker with his friends some times, but whatever you do don’t ask if he has a girlfriend!”
Soon a car pulled in front of school as Jane waved. This guy, who was Jane’s brother step out of the car. He had a piercing on the right side of his lips, black hair that reached to his back of his neck and hung over his dark black eyes. He had a black long T shirt that you could see his 6 packs. And it was like what? 89 degree Fahrenheit? Who knew this emo guy is Jane’s brother! They don’t’ even look like it!
‘He seems familiar…’ I thought. I finally thought who he was, “Aren’t you Skyler from the upper class?” I asked. Jane laughed as Skyler rolled his eyes, “Glad you notice, yeah. Skyler this is Juliet my best friend” I shook my head, “Glad to meet you.” He simply ignored me as he stepped into his car, ‘what’s his problem?!’
